About the job
The Market Access Strategy Head is a highly strategic and transversal leadership role within the Market Access organization. It holds end-to-end accountability for shaping and orchestrating Sanofi's cross-portfolio market access strategy in Brazil, ensuring a coherent, prioritized, and well-sequenced approach to reimbursement submissions, national and subnation, public and private, and to the stakeholder engagement that precedes, accompanies, and follows every submission process.
Operating at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution, this position combines transversal leadership of the Market Access agenda with direct accountability for the Immuno Alliance and Tzield franchises, the orchestration and governance engine of Market Access (MAx Orchestration), and the Pricing & Operations function. The role requires the ability to lead simultaneously through direct authority and through influence, aligning and mobilizing peers, particularly the Value & Access (V&A) Managers and the HEVA (Health Economics & Value Assessment) team, around a single, unified access strategy.
Beyond strategy execution, this position is the principal architect and custodian of the Market Access operating model, continuously transforming, evolving, and innovating it to respond to the changing needs of Sanofi's business units, external stakeholders, payers, and, ultimately, patients.
Given its scope, this role demands exceptional versatility and comfort with complexity, as it requires balancing strategic, cross-functional orchestration with hands-on leadership of multiple high-priority workstreams at the same time.
Main Responsibilities
Cross-Portfolio Market Access Strategy & Governance
- Define and lead Sanofi's cross-portfolio market access strategy, establishing the prioritization and sequencing of national and subnational reimbursement submissions, public and private, across the full portfolio.
- Orchestrate the sequencing of stakeholder engagement required before, during, and after each submission process, ensuring consistency and strategic coherence across therapeutic areas.
- Align and lead by influence across peers, in particular the V&A Managers and the HEVA function, to ensure a unified, transversal approach to market access strategy and execution.
- Identify market access risks, opportunities, and interdependencies across the portfolio, and partner with the internal stakeholders to define mitigation and acceleration strategies.
Immuno Alliance Franchise Leadership
- Hold direct leadership accountability for market access strategy and execution of the Immuno Alliance franchise.
- Directly lead the V&A structure dedicated to Immuno Alliance, ensuring strategic alignment, execution excellence, and stakeholder engagement across public and private access pathways.
Tzield Franchise Leadership
- Hold direct leadership accountability for market access strategy and execution of the Tzield franchise.
- Directly lead the V&A dedicated to Tzield, ensuring the access strategy is tailored to the franchise's innovative, early-stage market context.
Market Access Orchestration & Governance
- Lead the orchestration and governance structure for Market Access initiatives, acting as an internal service provider to the broader Market Access organization.
- Directly lead the V&As Cross-Portfolio and Innovation & Engagement teams, ensuring strong governance, prioritization discipline, and operational excellence across cross-cutting initiatives.
- Ensure the consistent application of agile methodologies, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making across Market Access initiatives.
Operating Model Transformation & Innovation
- Own, evolve, and continuously innovate the Market Access operating model, ensuring it remains fit for purpose as business needs, the healthcare ecosystem, and stakeholder expectations evolve.
- Champion new ways of working, digital enablement, and process modernization to increase the speed, quality, and impact of market access execution.
- Serve as a catalyst for organizational change, promoting a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous learning across the Market Access function.
Pricing & Operations Leadership
- Directly lead the Pricing & Operations structure, ensuring pricing strategy, governance, and execution are fully integrated with the broader market access and reimbursement agenda.
- Ensure pricing decisions and operational processes are consistent with regulatory requirements and aligned with global and regional pricing guidance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Organizational Leadership
- Act as a key integration point across Market Access, HEVA, Marketing, Medical, Public Affairs, and other business units, ensuring cohesive execution of the access agenda.
- Represent Market Access in senior cross-functional and leadership forums, influencing business decisions and challenging the status quo when needed.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to the internal stakeholders, providing leadership continuity and representing the function as required.
Culture, Ethics & Compliance
- Promote a culture of Ethics and Business Integrity, ensuring full compliance with Sanofi policies and the codes of conduct governing the pharmaceutical industry.
- Champion Sanofi's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) principles and Diversity & Inclusion strategy across all teams under direct leadership.
