Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Marketing Lead, Trade Markets, located in Maroussi, Greece.

 

Job Overview 

The Marketing Lead, Trade Markets plays a critical role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for the DePuy Synthes orthopaedics business across assigned distributor and partner-led markets. The role translates global and regional DePuy Synthes portfolio strategies into locally relevant plans that support sustainable growth, adoption of orthopaedic solutions, and improved patient outcomes. Working closely with Commercial, Sales, Regional Marketing, Professional Education, Health Economics and Market Access, Regulatory, and other cross-functional partners, the Marketing Lead ensures effective portfolio management, product launches, customer engagement, and compliant execution across the Trade Markets Cluster.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and execution of the DePuy Synthes marketing strategy for the orthopaedics portfolio across assigned Trade Markets, aligned with business priorities, regional franchise strategies, and local market needs.
  • Partner with Sales, Commercial, and distributor teams to identify market opportunities, segment priority customers, and develop demand-generation plans for hospitals, healthcare professionals, procurement stakeholders, and other relevant orthopaedics customers.
  • Translate global and regional DePuy Synthes strategies, clinical value propositions, and evidence into locally relevant, compliant marketing plans and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Lead portfolio planning and lifecycle management, including market assessment, prioritization, product launches, adoption plans, and ongoing support for strategic orthopaedics platforms and solutions.
  • Analyze healthcare market dynamics, procedure trends, customer needs, competitor activity, access considerations, and portfolio performance to identify growth opportunities and inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with  Professional Education, Health Economics and Market Access, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Excellence to ensure clinically relevant, compliant, and operationally effective execution.
  • Build marketing capabilities within distributor organizations, provide appropriate product and portfolio guidance, and monitor execution against agreed plans, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all marketing activities and materials comply with applicable healthcare laws and regulations, company policies, Health Care Compliance requirements, quality standards, and DePuy Synthes brand guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. 

 

Experience and Skills 

 

Required 

  • Typically requires 6–8 years of progressive marketing, portfolio management, product management, or commercial experience in the healthcare or medical-device industry, gained within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans for medical-device portfolios, including product launches, lifecycle management, customer segmentation, demand generation, and performance measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market, procedure, customer, competitive, and portfolio data and translate insights into actionable marketing and commercial priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional healthcare partners and to influence execution in distributor-led or indirect commercial models.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 

 

Preferred 

  • Experience in orthopaedics, surgical technologies, trauma, joint reconstruction, sports medicine, or a closely related medical-device specialty is preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple healthcare markets or regions, with an understanding of differing clinical practices, market-access environments, regulatory requirements, and commercial maturity levels.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional medical-device product launches, portfolio initiatives, or market-development programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with distributor or partner-led MedTech commercial models and experience engaging healthcare professionals, hospital stakeholders, and procurement or tender decision-makers.

  • Language: Fluency in English required. 
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel, primarily within the region. 

 

 

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€52,500.00 - €89,240.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
