We are seeking a Music Executive to join the dynamic global music team for Amazon MGM Studios. This role oversees all music needs associated with the Studios’ Original Series (Scripted and Unscripted) and Amazon Original Movies (AOM) across multiple Indian languages. This role will be an integral part to the India music team and will be located in Mumbai, India. You'll have experience in Movie music production and supervision, you will use your robust knowledge of music and your network of relationships in the entertainment and music industry in India to drive successful projects.

Key job responsibilities
Oversee music supervision/curation of designated productions across languages on behalf of studio.
• Read Scripts and co-ordinate with various internal & external stakeholders to assess scope of music (songs + score) in screenplays.
• Recommend key music hires (music composers, supervisors, singer-songwriters etc) as per the script requirement.
• Will work the south titles + Amazon Original Series
• Work closely with internal stakeholders for management and tracking of music budgets, talent deals, scoring process, music delivery, and music licensing for designated productions.
• Utilize a deep understanding of music licensing for film and TV to ensure success of projects.
• Manage and track music delivery requirements of projects as per the various milestones.
• Partner effectively across internal divisions (Content development, Business Affairs, Production, Legal, Marketing, social media, Monetisation team etc.) and with external partners using excellent communication skills.
• Work with music label partners in the region to seek wide release for soundtracks.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to identify and develop music marketing opportunities for title promotions.
• Assist marketing team with licensing/curating music for various marketing campaigns.

About the team
The Amazon MGM Studios Music Department is based out of LAX22 in Culver City, CA with team members in Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, India, Japan, UK, New York and Miami.

The team oversees all music needs associated with the Amazon MGM Studios overall programming slate (including Prime Video's original television series, original movies, first run licenses, and acquisitions) – we also leverage the unique musical content created for our productions to raise awareness of our content and drive consumers to Prime Video.

The team also oversees CMO (Collective Management Organizations) licensing agreements worldwide for Amazon Prime Video and secures the clearance of music used in the marketing of content available on Prime Video.

Basic qualifications

- Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time
- Experience in movies & TV distribution/licensing
- 5+ years of music programming, music supervision, editorial, or A&R experience

Preferred qualifications

- Should have a thorough understanding of India music business and music rights management
