Role Overview

Join Version 1's Oracle Cloud Managed Services practice as an Oracle Cloud Technical Consultant, specialising in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Fusion Cloud technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven consultant who enjoys designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade integrations while working with some of the UK's and Ireland's leading Oracle Cloud customers. You will play a key role in delivering robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions across Oracle ERP, HCM, SCM, and third-party business applications, ensuring customers maximise the value of their Oracle Cloud investments.

Alongside integration delivery and support, you will contribute to reporting and analytics initiatives using Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, helping customers gain meaningful insights from their Oracle Cloud data.

Working within a collaborative Managed Services environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise across Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and OCI technologies while working closely with customers, architects, and functional consultants to solve complex business challenges.
 

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Integration Cloud

  • Design, develop, support, and enhance integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including app-driven, scheduled, event-based, and file-based integrations.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and external systems using REST, SOAP, file-based, and API-driven integration patterns.
  • Configure and support OIC adapters, connectivity agents, integrations, orchestrations, and supporting components.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise integration solutions to ensure availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Implement robust error handling, reprocessing strategies, exception management, and operational monitoring.
  • Investigate integration incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Support customer enhancements, service requests, and change initiatives within live production environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to analyse requirements and deliver scalable, supportable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Participate in Oracle quarterly release reviews and assess impacts to integration solutions and technical components.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and support reports and dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), OTBI and related Oracle reporting technologies.
  • Develop data extracts and reporting solutions across Oracle ERP, HCM, and SCM Cloud applications.
  • Support reporting-related incidents, service requests, and enhancement activities within customer environments.
  • Assist customers in translating reporting requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Ensure reporting solutions are accurate, performant, and aligned to business requirements through testing and validation.

Managed Services & Customer Support

  • Provide high-quality support for Oracle Cloud integrations and reporting solutions within a Managed Services environment.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, providing guidance on Oracle Cloud integration best practices.
  • Work within established service management processes, ensuring incidents, problems, changes, and enhancements are effectively managed.
  • Contribute to continual service improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies.

Essential Skills & Experience

Oracle Integration Cloud

  • 5-7 years of experience working with Oracle Cloud technologies, including significant hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Strong experience developing and supporting integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud APIs, including REST and SOAP web services, security credentials, and integration frameworks.
  • Experience integrating Oracle ERP, HCM, and SCM applications with Oracle and third-party platforms.
  • Strong understanding of integration design patterns, fault handling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with Oracle SaaS data interfaces, including BICC, FBDI, HDL, and file-based integrations.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud data structures, interface tables, and business processes.
  • Experience working with OIC connectivity frameworks and integration security concepts.

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • REST and SOAP Web Services
    • XML, XSLT, XPath, and JSON
    • SQL and PL/SQL
    • Data mapping and transformation techniques
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and integration security concepts.
  • Experience producing technical documentation and solution designs.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Experience developing and supporting reporting solutions using Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) and OTBI.
  • Understanding of Oracle Fusion reporting subject areas, security models, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience creating analytical reports, dashboards, and data extracts.

Professional Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with customers and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desirable Skills

  • Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).
  • Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS).
  • Oracle Process Automation / BPM.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, source control, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or experience working within ITIL-based support organisations.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications in OIC, Oracle Cloud Platform, or Oracle Fusion Applications.
