Do you thrive at the intersection of technology strategy and large-scale program execution? The WW Operations Finance — Standardization and Automation Team is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the strategic evolution of our financial analytics platforms supporting the Global Customer Fulfillment network. This role requires an AI-native mindset — using Generative AI tools and automation as a core part of how you plan, execute, and deliver.

As a Principal TPM supporting Global Customer Fulfillment Analytics, you will own the program strategy, multi-team execution, and stakeholder alignment for data solutions delivery, LLM-powered reporting workflows, autonomous data pipelines, and scalable platform capabilities across one of Amazon's largest finance organizations. You will orchestrate the transition from legacy systems to a modern data lakehouse architecture, ensuring Finance customers have reliable, performant access to the insights they need. This means navigating interdependent tools and platforms, driving alignment across competing priorities, making high-judgment calls with incomplete information, and adapting roadmaps as new internal products evolve.

Success in this role demands deep technical fluency, strategic leadership, and the ability to influence at scale without direct authority. You will define the multi-year technical roadmap, build frameworks that create organizational clarity across matrixed teams, forge strong partnerships with engineering, product, and finance leadership, and champion emerging technologies — delivering a robust data infrastructure that empowers faster, more informed decision-making across Operations Finance.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the lifecycle of large, complex multi-team technology programs from concept through delivery — defining the long-term roadmap for data solutions, intelligent analytics, and platform modernization across WW Operations Finance
• Drive consensus among Tech and Finance partners on strategic roadmaps and prioritization; influence the direction of multiple engineering teams and advise Sr. Managers and Directors on program strategy and trade-offs
• Work with VP orgs to influence system owners, architecture decisions, and organizational priorities
• Lead full-lifecycle program execution for the transition from legacy financial reporting systems to a modern data lakehouse architecture with AI-powered automated workflows
• Champion the adoption of Generative AI tools and automation across TPM workflows; drive measurable productivity gains and establish best practices for AI-assisted planning, execution, and reporting
• Manage program-level schedules, milestones, risks, and success metrics; resolve bottlenecks and balance competing priorities by leading through persuasion rather than direct authority
• Own program communication — drive crisp decisions, clear blockers, escalate appropriately, and present effectively to senior leadership; draft strategic documents (MTR, MBR/QBR, design docs, PR/FAQ, OP1/OP2) that synthesize complex problems into clear narratives
• Mentor and develop TPMs and interdisciplinary team members, raising the bar on TPM practices across the organization

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing program metrics and dashboards to identify emerging risks or blockers. Mid-morning, you facilitate a cross-team alignment meeting where engineering leads debate technical trade-offs — your role is to drive the discussion toward a crisp decision. After lunch, you draft a program update narrative for senior leadership, distilling complex technical progress into clear business outcomes. Later, you connect with a partner team to negotiate a dependency timeline and unblock a critical deliverable. Throughout it all, you balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving.

Basic qualifications

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
