Job Description: Director, Product Management — Implementation Health
About the Role
Salesforce is redefining how customers gain insight into the health of their Salesforce org, and Implementation Health is at the center of that mission. You will own the strategic vision and execution for how we measure, monitor, and improve the health of customer implementations at scale, across the full customer lifecycle.
We are looking for a Director of Product Management to build a foundational capability at the intersection of data science, customer success strategy, and enterprise product management. You'll shape the framework that quantifies implementation health. You'll also capture the context that makes those signals actionable, so humans and agents can work together to assess org health and address customer challenges. By driving proactive engagement, you'll help drive growth and lower attrition across our customer base.
About the Team
This role sits within our Customer Success Group, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing leadership to build best-in-class capabilities. As a trusted advisor, you won't just ship features. You'll shape how Salesforce understands and improves customer success, because implementation health is the leading indicator of retention, expansion, and long-term success.
You'll work alongside AI-powered tools and agents that handle repetitive tasks, freeing you to focus on strategy, alignment, and delivering measurable value to every customer on the platform.
Your Impact - Responsibilities
Success will be measured by how well implementation health capabilities, from data pipelines and model outputs to dashboards and CSM workflows, are delivered on time, at quality, and at scale.
- Strategic Vision & Roadmap Ownership: Define and drive the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for Implementation Health. This includes frameworks for key health signals, the context around them, and ML-powered insights that let humans and agents surface risk and drive resolution across thousands of implementations.
- Data, Analytics & ML Leadership: Develop deep expertise in the data architecture and ML models behind health assessment. Partner with T&P, Data Science, and Engineering to improve model accuracy, coverage, and interpretability.
- Customer Insights at Scale: Translate product usage, support interactions, implementation telemetry, and customer feedback into actionable health metrics for customer-facing and internal success strategies.
- Executive Influence & Stakeholder Alignment: Drive alignment and investment across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, CSG, and Marketing leadership. Influence without direct authority at the VP/SVP level in a highly matrixed environment.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Lead cross-functional pods to deliver health capabilities on time and at quality.
- Data-Driven Culture: Champion data-informed decision-making by embedding health signals and context into human-agent workflows, proactive engagements, QBRs, and renewal motions.
- Platform Scalability: Scale the framework across Salesforce's growing cloud portfolio, including M&A-integrated products (e.g., Slack, Informatica, Agentforce).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related technical/quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership in highly matrixed, cross-functional enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in the product area end-to-end at Director level or equivalent.
- Significant experience with B2B SaaS or enterprise software, delivering products at scale across diverse customer segments.
- Deep understanding of data analytics, ML model development, and systems integration.
- Proven ability to operate as both a strategic thinker and an execution driver, comfortable setting a 3-year vision and unblocking a sprint.
- Track record of driving senior-level alignment and translating complex data and technical concepts into crisp executive narratives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with SQL, Python, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering Management, or Data Analytics or equivalent.

Skills and AI tools this role asks for
Questions you could be asked
- How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
- Describe a typical day in a role like this one: which parts run through AI directly?
- If you removed AI from this role, what would be left, and how do you decide what still needs a human?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project — this role expects it to be a running habit.
