Amazon sends millions of communications to Selling Partners every day, ranging from informational updates about new features or upcoming events to critical business information. These communications are delivered through a variety of channels, including email, web notifications, SMS, mobile push, and others. The quality, consistency, and thoughtfulness of these communications shape the entire experience that Selling Partners have with Amazon.

We are seeking a Program Manager II for the Partner Outbound Communications team, who combines strong program management skills with a technical aptitude for data analysis. In this role, you will drive initiatives to improve the quality of Selling Partner communications across all channels — email, web notifications, SMS, and mobile push — while leveraging data-driven insights to measure impact, identify trends, and inform decision-making.

The ideal candidate is someone who is not only passionate about communications quality, but also familiar with SQL queries to pull metrics from databases, analyzing datasets to uncover defect patterns, and translating raw data into actionable recommendations. You will be expected to build and maintain reporting mechanisms, contribute to the team's internal knowledge base (Wiki pages), and support content audits and documentation.

Key job responsibilities
* Ensuring that all content sent to Selling Partners is defect-free, high-quality, consistent, relevant, and thoughtful.
* Shaping Amazon's internal content quality policies and guidelines, and ensuring those guidelines are followed throughout the communication creation process.
* Working with internal teams to resolve any defects identified and instituting mechanisms to scale defect resolution across hundreds of teams.
* Leveraging your passion for communications, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex processes involving multiple stakeholders.
* Demonstrating familiarity and comfort with communications platform technology.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven track record of driving communications quality improvement initiatives
* Demonstrated expertise in content authoring and editing, with a strong eye for detail
* Strong analytical and data-driven approach to identifying and resolving quality issues, with familiarity in communications-related metrics and performance indicators
* Ability to develop and enforce content quality standards, guidelines, and QA processes to proactively monitor and improve communications
* Familiarity with a variety of communications platforms and technologies, such as content management systems and analytics tools
* Comfort navigating cross-functional collaboration and managing multiple stakeholders

About the team
Partner Outbound Communications’ mission is to ensure every selling partner receives relevant, timely, actionable communications through the channels where they are most likely to engage. We do this by migrating existing emails onto our platform for quality control, improving the quality of comms launched, and improving partners’ ability to personalize their communications experience.

Basic qualifications

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Preferred qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Basic knowledge and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Velocity Templates
