About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operational Risk professional to take on a key risk leadership role supporting our Institutional business across Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance and Coverage.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned risk professional who enjoys being close to the business, influencing senior stakeholders and turning complex risk and regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes.

As a trusted first-line risk advisor, you will work alongside business leaders, risk owners and regional stakeholders to strengthen the control environment, anticipate emerging risks and support sustainable business growth

What will your day look like?

You will play an important role in shaping and strengthening non-financial risk management across the Institutional business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising senior business leaders on operational and non-financial risk matters, providing constructive challenge and practical solutions.
• Driving effective implementation and ongoing embedding of the Non-Financial Risk Framework.
• Providing oversight of key risks, controls, incidents, audit actions, risk indicators and remediation activities as first line.
• Leading risk assessments, control reviews and governance reporting for senior management and risk forums.
• Identifying emerging risks and control vulnerabilities and influencing actions to strengthen the control environment.
• Advising on regulatory change, new products, business initiatives and process transformations.
• Supporting operational resilience, business continuity, data protection, reputational risk and regulatory reporting.
• Partnering with regional and global teams on strategic risk initiatives.
• Contributing to surveillance, governance and risk oversight across Markets and Corporate Banking.
• Championing a strong risk culture through leadership, engagement and continuous improvement.

What will you bring?

You are an experienced risk professional who can see beyond individual controls and understand the broader business, regulatory and customer implications of risk.

You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience in financial services, with substantial experience in Operational Risk, Governance, Compliance, Business Continuity or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of Corporate Banking, ideally with exposure to Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance or Coverage.
• Deep knowledge of risk and control frameworks, risk assessments, control testing, incident management, governance and risk reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide credible constructive challenge.
• Strong analytical judgement, with the ability to connect emerging risks, control weaknesses and business developments.
• The ability to translate complex regulatory and risk requirements into clear, practical business actions.
• A collaborative and resilient leadership style, comfortable working across local, regional and global teams.
• Relevant professional qualifications in risk, governance or related disciplines will be viewed favorably.
