AI in this role

About Nscale

Nscale is the vertically integrated AI cloud engineered for AI. We own and operate the full stack — energy, data centres, GPU superclusters, orchestration, and AI services — delivering high-performance infrastructure to AI-native companies, enterprises, and governments across Europe and the US. We are deploying GPU capacity at hyperscale, operating some of the densest, most advanced AI infrastructure in the world.

At Nscale, our Supply Chain and Procurement team plays a critical role in shaping supply strategy, securing continuity of supply, and enabling the company's growth through data-led decision-making. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, OFCI Business Analytics owns cost reporting, performance metrics, and dashboard development supporting data center owner-furnished, contractor-installed (OFCI) power and cooling equipment. The role spans two connected areas: OFCI cost reporting and performance metrics, and supplier performance reporting for the broader supply chain organization.

You will build the reporting capability both teams run on — dashboards, metric frameworks, and the internal trackers and status reports used by category sourcing and supply chain. The primary focus is developing metrics and reporting capabilities, with accountability for the accuracy, timeliness, and usability of everything that gets published.

What You'll be Doing

OFCI Cost Reporting & Performance Metrics
- Own cost reporting for OFCI power and cooling equipment, including generators, UPS systems, power distribution units, switchgear, transformers, busway, hot aisle containment, chillers, and CRAH/FWU units.
- Define and maintain normalized cost and performance metrics that hold up across projects and vendors, including cost per MW of IT capacity, $/kW, cost per ton of cooling, unit price trends, and total landed cost inclusive of freight, duties, tariffs, and escalation.
- Report budget versus committed versus actual spend, purchase price variance, and savings and cost avoidance, with clear articulation of the drivers behind each.
- Maintain cash flow projections for existing and forecasted spend.
- Establish the metric definitions, calculation logic, and data standards that allow procurement, finance, and construction reporting to reconcile to one set of numbers.
- Produce executive reporting packages and support category and capital business reviews.

Supplier Performance Reporting & Metrics
- Build and own supplier performance reporting for the supply chain organization, covering on-time delivery, lead time performance and trends, quality and non-conformance, responsiveness, and commitment adherence.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team to develop supplier scorecards and the underlying metric framework, including weighting, thresholds, and review cadence.
- Develop and implement forecasting methodology to report on supply and demand projections.

Dashboard & Reporting Development
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards serving the category sourcing, supply chain, construction, and finance teams.
- Consolidate data from ERP, source-to-pay, project management, and supplier systems into reliable, refreshable reporting datasets.
- Automate recurring reporting to reduce manual effort and improve refresh frequency and data currency.
- Apply sound visualization and usability practices so dashboards are adopted and used for decisions rather than exported once and abandoned.
- Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and version control for all published reporting.

Tracker & Status Report Optimization
- Partner with the category sourcing and supply chain teams to assess, redesign, and standardize internal trackers and status reports.
- Improve RFP and sourcing event tracking, including event status, milestone dates, bid coverage, award status, cycle time, and contract expiration, so teams work from one current source rather than parallel spreadsheets.
- Standardize bid tabulation, cost comparison, and award summary templates so results are directly comparable across suppliers and events.
- Consolidate duplicative reporting, eliminate manual rework, and migrate high-value trackers into automated tooling where it makes sense.
- Train stakeholders on new reporting and gather feedback to drive iterative improvement.

About You

- 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement analytics, supply chain analytics, category management support, cost engineering, or FP&A, including end-to-end ownership of a reporting workstream.
- Demonstrated experience building cost reporting and performance metrics for capital equipment or engineered-to-order goods, where cost is driven by configuration, commodity inputs, and lead time rather than catalog pricing.
- Experience developing supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and review cadences.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, plus proven ability to build and maintain production dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
- Track record of turning unstructured inputs such as supplier quotes, bid tabulations, ERP extracts, and project schedules into reporting that stakeholders trust and use.
- Experience reviewing supplier forecasts against demand requirements and quantifying capacity and lead time risk.
- Understanding of data center construction timelines, equipment lead times, and project delivery requirements.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to explain variance, risk, and trade-offs to senior leaders and defend the methodology behind the numbers.
- Proficiency with procurement and project systems, including ERP, e-sourcing platforms, contract management systems, and project management tools.

Nice to Have

- Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Analytics) or professional certification (CPSM, CIPS, CPM).
- Experience in hyperscale data center construction or mission-critical facility builds, including familiarity with the OFCI/CFCI split and its effect on cost and risk allocation.
- SQL proficiency and experience partnering with data engineering teams on pipelines and data models.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, Coupa, Ariba, Procore, Smartsheet, or Anaplan.
- Technical familiarity with power distribution systems (medium voltage, low voltage, backup power) and cooling technologies (air-cooled, liquid-cooled, evaporative cooling).
- Familiarity with commodity index tracking and price escalation clause mechanics.
- Prior experience moving an analytics function from manual reporting to an automated capability.

Why this role matters

Power and cooling equipment represents one of the largest capital investments behind every data center Nscale builds. In this role, you'll turn spend, supplier, and schedule data into the insight that informs sourcing decisions, capital planning, and supply risk management. The metrics and reporting you create will become the single source of truth that procurement, finance, and construction rely on as Nscale scales its infrastructure across the US.
