POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a highly creative and self-motivated Senior Product Designer to join EarnIn's Growth team. Growth owns the parts of the product that bring members in and bring them back: acquisition, onboarding, referrals, and winbacks. Most problems you'll take on start as a business bet with no spec and no known solution. You'll explore solutions quickly and react to counterintuitive data. AI is a core part of how you'll work. You'll use it to explore more directions, prototype faster, and raise the quality of what we ship, using your judgment to decide what great, innovative UX looks like. The Mountain View base salary range for this full-time position is $204,957 to $250,503, plus equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This hybrid position is in Mountain View and requires 2 days of in-office work per week.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take business hypotheses and explore distinct solutions on your own to support the different growth squads, and iterate based on data
- Bring the team clear recommendations, explain your reasoning, and use feedback to reach a decision
- Design toward a measurable outcome: know the hypothesis, the metric it should move, and the flows members use today
- Ship the fastest credible test of an idea, and drive it through blockers to launch with product, engineering, data, legal, and brand partners, while pushing design quality
- Read experiment results with the team, learn from the tests that lose, and update your understanding of our members to inspire new experiences
- Build working prototypes with AI tools to answer UX questions and compare solutions, and use static screens only where they're enough
- Write your own design playbook with new AI-assisted ways of working, and share what works with the design team
- Keep every experience clear and honest, because our members trust us with their money
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years of experience designing consumer digital products
- A portfolio that shows how you framed problems, the directions you explored, and the outcome your work moved. Include recent work that shows how you use AI in your process
- Experience on a growth or experimentation team: you've designed test variants, read the results, and iterated after a loss/learning
- Strong product sense and behavioral empathy: you can hypothesize why someone will or won't take an action, even when it is not obvious
- Craft that serves the problem: you care about the details that change whether a design works
- A bias for action with judgment: you'd rather have a valid test live this week than shipping something that doesn’t test the hypothesis, or a super polished design next month
- Comfort with ambiguity, and energy for open problems
- Daily use of AI tools in your design work, such as Claude, Cursor, or v0, and/or a method you built or adopted that made you faster or better
- Working prototypes as a normal part of your output, and curiosity about the technical skills that make you a better designer. No engineering background needed.
- Critical judgment of AI output: you stay accountable for the quality of the result
- Nice to have: front-end coding experience, conversion design for landing pages and onboarding, and experience in fintech or another regulated industry

Questions you could be asked
- What's a project where you used Claude hands-on?
- Walk me through how you've used Cursor in your day-to-day work.
- What are the limits of Runway that you've run into, and how did you work around them?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: Claude, Cursor, and Runway. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
