About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

About the Role

Digital Enterprise Technology (DET) blazes the trail of enterprise IT at Salesforce, built on the foundation of our core values — Trust, Ohana, Innovation. We own the world's foremost Salesforce Platform along with many other internal orgs, powering the tools our business stakeholders rely on to do their best work.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Salesforce Platform Center of Excellence team. In this role, you'll help keep our internal Salesforce instances secure, productive, and efficient by shaping the tools and applications that align with platform standards, guidelines, and best practices — with deep focus on platform security, environments, access, and governance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct internal business analysis and use data and user feedback to inform product strategy, weigh value against effort, and iterate on features that improve user experience and business outcomes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams — including Core Product, lines of business, and engineering — and engage executives and senior stakeholders to keep product development cohesive and aligned
  • Own the product roadmap, identifying risks early and making prioritization calls that balance short-term needs against long-term goals, while communicating transparently to build stakeholder trust
  • Lead feature delivery end-to-end — from user research and user stories through UX design, prototyping, and working with engineering to build, test, and ship — while driving awareness and adoption internally
  • Mentor other product managers and team members, helping raise the bar on product management practice across the team
  • Use AI tools throughout the product development lifecycle — synthesizing feedback, drafting lightweight specs, and rapid prototyping with engineering and design

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product management or product strategy with strong technical and product literacy
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce Platform — customization, user management configuration, integrations and APIs, security, and observability, across at least one Salesforce cloud or platform
  • A proven track record of delivering complex, transformative products or solutions on the Salesforce Platform
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams, with proficiency in product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to translate business and technical requirements into a coherent product strategy and use data to drive roadmap decisions and prioritization
  • Ability to explain complex, technical ideas clearly to non-technical audiences, with the organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • At least one of: Salesforce Platform App Builder, Administrator, or Platform Foundations certification
  • Demonstrated AI fluency, with hands-on experience in conversational AI, real-time agents, or AI quality and evaluation. Able to speak to outcomes driven by using AI across PM workflows, and to build working prototypes with AI-assisted tools (e.g. Claude, vibe-coding tools)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Agentforce Specialist
  • Certified Product Manager, with experience in Agile/Scrum techniques
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and integrations
  • A related technical degree

Why Join?

You'll shape the platform that powers Salesforce's own internal business — with real influence over the standards, governance, and tools thousands of employees depend on every day. You'll work alongside a team that values transparency and mentorship, with room to grow your product craft while helping others do the same.

Unleash Your Potential

When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best. Together, we’ll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love. Apply today to not only shape the future — but to redefine what’s possible — for yourself, for AI, and the world.

How we rate this

Senior Product Manager, Salesforce Platform at Salesforce rates 66 out of 100 for how much of the daily work is AI. That makes it Works on AI (AI Level 3 of 4). The level is about AI in the job, not seniority.

Skills and AI tools this role asks for

AI agentsClaude

Questions you could be asked

  1. How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
  2. Walk me through how you've used Claude in your day-to-day work.
  3. Describe a typical day in a role like this one: which parts run through AI directly?
  4. If you removed AI from this role, what would be left, and how do you decide what still needs a human?

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents and Claude. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
