Senior Product Owner to lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for an operational mobile application supporting field staff.

androidjira

At Flix, we offer a tech-driven environment where innovation meets real-world impact, with competitive pay, strong growth opportunities, and a culture of collaboration and ownership.

As a Senior Product Owner (m/f/d) in Supply division you will make an impact by owning the problem space of supporting operational staff in the field, driving the full product lifecycle from discovery to outcome measurement, working in close partnership with a global landscape of stakeholders, and shaping the next generation of our products.

At the centre of this problem space is an app supporting bus drivers, train attendants and station staff in their daily operations around the world. This Android application does not only provide key workflows to its users, but also allows Flix to better understand operational compliance in the field so we can guarantee the best possible passenger experience.

We're currently building the next generation of this app, making this an exciting moment to join and shape its long-term direction.

Your engineering counterparts are an Engineering Manager, three Backend engineers, two Mobile engineers and one Data Analyst. Your focus will be on strategy, discovery, and outcomes, while the engineering team owns delivery and ceremonies.

If you're excited about working on a constantly evolving product used by thousands of operational staff around the world, send us your application!

About the Role

  • Own the product lifecycle end-to-end: from identifying opportunities and running discovery, through shaping solutions and defining requirements, to measuring outcomes and closing the loop
  • Co-own your problem space with business counterparts, building a joint partnership that replaces handover-based collaboration with shared accountability for outcomes
  • Define product strategy and priorities for the app, working across teams and problem spaces rather than being bounded by a single team's scope
  • Drive hypothesis-driven discovery and outcome measurement, defining success metrics before solution work begins and using them to make explicit continue, pivot, or stop decisions
  • Partner closely with engineering on priorities, requirements, and release, trusting the EM and team to own delivery and ceremonies
  • Collaborate with peer Product Owners to align on dependencies and deliver outcomes that span individual team boundaries

About You

  • 5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with a track record of owning products end-to-end: from problem discovery and business alignment to outcome measurement
  • You think in outcomes and problem spaces; presenting a business case to a stakeholder feels as natural as running a discovery session with users
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with business stakeholders and drive joint decision-making without relying on formal authority
  • Experience owning product problems that cut across team boundaries, keeping multiple stakeholders aligned on direction and trade-offs
  • You're energised by strategy, discovery, and outcomes; you understand that delivery coordination sits with the engineering team
  • Strong analytical foundation; you can connect user research, usability signals, and business metrics to make confident product decisions
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with mobile app products, ideally in an operational or logistics context

We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. If you think you could have an impact even though you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We want to hear from you!

Questions you could be asked

  1. What's a project where you used Android hands-on?
  2. Walk me through how you've used Jira in your day-to-day work.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Android and Jira. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
