Overview of the Role:

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform is a leader in AI-driven customer experience solutions. It gives digital, data and marketing teams comprehensive capabilities to unify their data, segment audiences, gain insights and activate across customer touchpoints like email, mobile and web, while optimizing the marketing funnel through agentic capabilities.

As Marketing Architect, you will be the Swiss team's hands-on technical specialist for Marketing Cloud Next and Data 360. Working alongside our pre-sales Solution Engineers, you will support the most technically demanding parts of the customer journey: building proofs of concept, contributing to MarTech architecture designs, and helping customers get their first use cases live. You will be a link between customers, our product teams and our delivery ecosystem, and you will contribute reusable assets that help the wider team.

This role is part of the Swiss Solution Engineering team. It complements the Solution Engineers, who own deal coverage, by providing deep technical expertise that helps complex deals and deployments succeed.


Responsibilities:

Success will be measured by the quality and impact of your technical contribution to the pipeline and to customer outcomes:

• Work in close partnership with sales teams, partners, product and industry specialists
• Support and co-lead client technical workshops so that the proposed solution delivers customer success, addresses business and architectural challenges, and provides a path to fast ROI
• Present and demonstrate technical solutions, with a passion for understanding business challenges and bringing the most value to customers
• Build proofs of concept and prototypes on Marketing Cloud and Data 360, working to success criteria agreed with the Solution Engineer and your manager
• Contribute to MarTech architecture designs, including integrations with CRM, commerce, content and analytics systems, with guidance from senior architects where needed
• Stay informed on the latest innovations in customer experience management solutions
• Share your successes and learnings with the team

Required Experiences and Qualifications:

• Native in German and English
• 3+ years of experience in Solution Consulting, Technical Architecture, Technical Product or similar roles, demonstrating solutions to inspire and transform the customer experience
• 3+ years working in one or more of: Digital Marketing (B2C and/or B2B), Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms and AI
• Working knowledge of MarTech architectures and integrations with CRM, commerce, content and analytics systems through APIs, ETL and event streaming
• A self-starter who can learn, prioritize and manage time effectively

Advantageous/Preferred Experiences and Qualifications:

• Experience building and delivering POCs or implementations on marketing or data platforms
• Technical expertise in any of: Customer Data Platforms (CDP), cloud data platforms, Loyalty Management, Analytics, Content Management Systems and/or Real-time Personalisation
• ML/AI project experience, including LLMs, prompt engineering and agentic use cases
• Scripting or development skills, such as SQL, AMPscript/SSJS, JavaScript or Python
• Salesforce certifications, such as Marketing Cloud Consultant or Developer, Data Cloud Consultant, Agentforce or Architect-track credentials
