[What you will be working on] 

The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) is a critical organ of state that plays a pivotal role in the administration of justice and the maintenance of the rule of law in Singapore. AGC is undergoing digital transformation, and you will serve as a core member of our technical team to solve complex challenges and drive digital initiatives. This role involves a mix of product and project build, including co-sourced development with vendors or in-house development, particularly focusing on the development of Legal GenAI applications.

You will be responsible for the implementation and technical delivery of high-impact products, ensuring that solutions meet the rigorous standards of the Singapore legal system.

Requires 4 to 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Feature Implementation: Own the development and delivery of software features, ensuring that code is robust, well-tested, and maintainable.
• Engineering Excellence: Adhere to high-quality engineering standards, ensuring that software systems are secure and reusable.
• Technical Participation: Actively participate in technical discussions and squad-level decisions, learning and applying best practices in modern software development.
• GenAI Integration: Support the product build of Legal GenAI applications, incorporating LLMs, RAG architectures, and Graph DB patterns.
• Communication & Support: Manage work-related tasks and communicate technical concepts clearly to technical leads and legal domain experts, assisting senior engineers in updating technical plans.

[What we are looking for] 

• At least 4 to 6 years of professional experience in software engineering, with experience building and maintaining reasonably large, high-availability software systems.
• Strong experience in modern full-stack web application architecture and development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for both frontend and backend development, and Python specifically for backend systems integrating GenAI capabilities.
• Hands-on experience or a strong interest in Generative AI (GenAI) development, including working with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG patterns, Graph DB patterns, and building AI-driven features.
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines exclusively using GitLab CI within the SHIP-HATS ecosystem.
• Able to hold your own in conversations with legal professionals, product owners, and technical stakeholders, presenting complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• You create structure where none exists and drive progress without waiting for perfect conditions or complete information.
• (Good to have) Experience in public sector, legal, or highly regulated environments is advantageous.
