The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support via phone or email to customers using our analyzers. They address technical issues, conduct user training, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
Responsabilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues remotely.
- Respond to technical inquiries from customers and propose suitable solutions.
- Perform tasks in compliance with established standards, guidelines, work processes, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with customer service activities related to the different product line (FTIR/ICOS/POWER/METAL).
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to achieving and exceeding the service department's sales targets.
- Train customers on the use and maintenance of equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, commercial) to improve products and services.
The customer service specialist is based in Quebec (Qc, Canada). However, the nature of the position may require occasional travel to both customer sites (United States and International) and various ABB offices.
Qualifications
- Degree in physical engineering, physics, chemistry, electronics, or related fields; or DEC with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of spectroscopy analysis is an asset.
- Excellent written and spoken French and English; French required, English for communication outside Quebec.
- Strong communication, customer satisfaction focus, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Good interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and professionalism.
