AI in this role
Scale AWS cloud storage and data foundation go-to-market strategies across ANZ to support AI workloads and large migrations.
This role builds and scales the AWS storage go-to-market across ANZ, owning the strategy and execution that helps customers modernise their data foundations to be ready for AI and agentic workloads. Storage is the foundation of every large migration and every AI workload from training data, model artifacts, inference pipelines, and the data lakes that power analytics. Data is the context layer that turns generic AI into personalised, differentiated customer experiences; every AI conversation is a data conversation, and this role sits at the centre of it. You will be across all the top migration deals in ANZ ensuring storage is scoped, sized, and funded from day one, spanning S3, EBS, EFS, FSx, Backup, DataSync, Transfer Family, Snow Family, and Storage Gateway, and the networking and data transfer (DTO) that makes large migrations possible. You are accountable for the growth of the ANZ storage business. You will also be the voice of ANZ back to the service team, carrying customer needs to our storage service teams to help reshape service and roadmap strategy.
Key job responsibilities
- GTM for storage and data foundations across ANZ — strategy, messaging, positioning, and campaigns across all segments
- Be across all the top deals — ensure storage is scoped, sized, and funded from day one; own storage sizing, data transfer planning (DTO), and migration sequencing on the largest, most complex opportunities
- Drive storage pipeline and revenue — activate growth levers including workload placement, data migration, tiering optimisation, and AI-driven consumption
- Build scalable GTM motions — playbooks, ROI models, and partner enablement that multiply impact beyond one-to-one deals
- Drive the "storage as the foundation for AI" narrative
- Be the voice of ANZ to the storage service teams, feeding customer needs and competitive gaps back to product leadership
A day in the life
One morning you're modelling the data transfer economics for a large enterprise migration across Direct Connect and DataSync; midday you're in a CxO briefing positioning S3 as the data lake foundation for an AI initiative and making sure storage is funded in the deal. The afternoon you're building a partner-led storage assessment motion with an SI, reviewing migration pipeline with the ANZ area team, and feeding a feature gap back to the WW Storage service team. You operate across ANZ and every segment, building the strategy and executing it.
About the team
The WWSO Data & AI team helps customers adopt our newest and most advantageous technologies. We are technology specialists. This role sits on the APJ Data GTM team as the ANZ storage and data-foundations lead, working as an integrated unit with the Database and Analytics teams, account teams, Specialist SAs, and partner teams. Storage is one of the fastest-growing domains in our data portfolio driven by AI consumption, data lake expansion, and large migrations and it can never be an afterthought in a data or AI deal. We value individuals who combine deep technical knowledge with GTM business acumen: people who can size a multi-petabyte migration AND build the business case that funds it. If you thrive where you build the strategy and execute it, this is the role for you.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud storage services (object storage, block storage, file systems, backup, archival) and their application across enterprise workloads.
- Experience in data transfer and migration, understanding of network connectivity (Direct Connect, VPN), data transfer services, and DTO cost modelling for large-scale migrations.
- Track record of driving multi-million-dollar pipeline and influencing complex, multi-service deals involving storage as a core component.
- Experience working with large enterprise customers at CxO/VP level, articulating the business value of storage modernisation and data migration.
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), GenAI (Generative AI), Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
- Experience with consumer brand experience design and an understanding of storytelling
- Experience across the full "large data deal" stack including storage + networking + data transfer + migration planning, able to model end-to-end data economics for customers
- Track record building scalable GTM motions, playbooks, ROI tools, partner enablement
- Experience working across APJ geo
- Familiarity with partner-led motions (SI engagement, MDF, co-sell)
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Storage or Networking Specialty) preferred

Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: Business Development, Cloud Storage, Data Migration, Go To Market Strategy, and Partner Enablement. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list. This role treats it as a required part of the job.
