About the role

We are looking for a VP of Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead the team that takes MOZN's AI into production inside our clients' organizations. Our forward-deployed engineers and data scientists work embedded with government and enterprise clients across Saudi Arabia, from the first problem definition to a system that people use every day. Not a handoff. Not a slide deck.

You will lead a multidisciplinary organization of engineers and data scientists, own delivery outcomes across our most important engagements, and turn what we learn in the field into repeatable playbooks and platform improvements. The role suits a leader who has run customer-facing solutions, delivery or engineering teams, stays close to the technical work, and is comfortable in the room with senior client stakeholders.

What you'll do

Leadership & Organization

• Build, lead and scale a multidisciplinary forward-deployed organization spanning software engineering, data science and AI.
• Hire, develop and retain exceptional engineers, data scientists and technical leaders; set clear expectations, career paths and a high bar for quality.
• Define the operating model: how teams are staffed on engagements, how work is prioritized, and how delivery is measured.
• Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence and accountability for client outcomes.

Delivery & Client Outcomes

• Own the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions across government and enterprise engagements, from problem framing and solution design through production deployment and adoption.
• Ensure solutions reach production and are used: define success metrics with clients and hold the team to them.
• Lead escalations, unblock delivery risks and make sound trade-offs between scope, quality and timelines.
• Partner with Sales and Presales to shape engagements, scope solutions realistically and ensure a smooth transition from presales to delivery.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating business and mission priorities into practical AI solutions.
• Navigate client procurement, security, data-governance and approval processes on the path to production.
• Represent MOZN's delivery capability in executive discussions, workshops and steering committees.

Technical Direction & Standards

• Set technical standards for architecture, integration, security and quality across deployments, including on-premise, private cloud and restricted environments.
• Stay close to the technical work: review architectures and solution designs, and step in on the hardest problems.
• Ensure deployed AI systems are secure, reliable, monitored and maintainable after go-live.

Playbooks & Product Feedback

• Turn field experience into repeatable deployment playbooks, reusable components and accelerators.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to feed client needs back into the MOZN AI Platform and roadmap.
• Track delivery performance and report regularly to senior leadership on outcomes, risks and capacity.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 8-12+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, solutions engineering, professional services, technical delivery or software engineering, with significant experience in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of building and leading technical delivery teams of engineers and/or data scientists that delivered solutions into client organizations.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex technology deployments from solution design through production go-live and adoption, ideally including AI, machine learning or data platforms.
• Strong technical foundation across software architecture, systems integration, data and AI/ML, with the credibility to review designs and guide engineers on hard problems.
• Experience delivering for government, public sector, defense or other highly regulated clients, including working through procurement, security and compliance requirements.
• Experience deploying solutions in on-premise, private cloud or restricted environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior client leaders.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering, Deployment Strategist, Applied AI or similar customer-embedded engineering role.
• Experience building a team, practice or function from scratch, or founding or scaling a technology company.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLM-based solutions in production, including RAG, agents and evaluation.
• Experience working closely with Product and Engineering to turn field delivery into reusable platform capabilities.
• Familiarity with Saudi data, cybersecurity and AI governance requirements.
