Role Summary

As a Financial Accounting & Reporting Expert, you will play a key role in delivering accurate accounting and financial reporting activities that support ING's global operations. You will help ensure compliance with accounting standards, contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, perform reconciliations, support regulatory reporting requirements, and drive continuous process improvements.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a global environment while partnering with teams across multiple countries and business areas.

 

About the Team

You will join Global Finance Services (GFS), a global finance organization responsible for the centralized accounting and reporting of Financial Markets, Treasury, Lending, and Payment Services activities across ING Bank.

The team works closely with stakeholders across Europe and Asia and plays an important role in maintaining the financial integrity of ING's global operations.

 

What You'll Do

  • Execute product accounting and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and review financial, management, and regulatory reports.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Perform intercompany and cash reconciliations.
  • Prepare invoices, accruals, and asset management transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting and reporting exceptions.
  • Create management information reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to manage financial reporting deliverables.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Support finance projects and regulatory change initiatives.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Cost Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
  • Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Reconciliation experience, including intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve accounting issues.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a complex or multinational environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
