Job Description & Summary

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of  

As an AI Solution Architect, you will: 

• Lead client engagements focused on AI strategy, AWS architecture and technology transformation. 

• Assess business processes, data capabilities, cloud platforms and operating models. 

• Identify high-value AI opportunities and develop practical implementation roadmaps. 

• Design secure, scalable and cost-effective AI solutions across data, Generative AI, Agentic AI, integration and governance. 

• Advise clients on LLM selection, performance, security, risk and cost. 

• Support the development of PwC’s AWS AI propositions and reusable assets. 

Key Responsibilities 

Client Discovery & Advisory 

• Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions and architecture reviews. 

• Assess business objectives, operating models, technology landscapes and data maturity. 

• Prioritise AI use cases and define implementation roadmaps. 

• Advise senior stakeholders on AI opportunities, risks, investment priorities and adoption. 

AI Solution Architecture 

• Design end-to-end AWS architectures for Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning and intelligent automation. 

• Develop solution designs using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Q and Amazon OpenSearch Service. 

• Define integration approaches across enterprise systems, applications, APIs and cloud platforms. 

• Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, production-ready and aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles. 

LLM, Cost & Performance 

• Advise on model selection, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt design, evaluation and agent orchestration. 

• Assess trade-offs across quality, latency, token usage, scalability and cost. 

• Define cost estimates, usage controls, monitoring and optimisation approaches. 

Data, Security and Governance 

• Define AWS-based data and AI architectures covering ingestion, storage, integration, governance and security. 

• Support architecture decisions across modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake and / or related ecosystems. 

• Establish controls for identity, encryption, privacy, monitoring and auditability. 

• Address AI risks including hallucination, prompt injection, data leakage and unauthorised agent actions. 

• Support compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act and relevant industry requirements. 

Delivery Leadership 

• Provide architecture leadership throughout delivery programmes. 

• Review technical designs and assure solution quality. 

• Support estimation, planning and technical governance processes. 

• Mentor engineers, data architects and AI practitioners. 

• Contribute to thought leadership, capability development and business growth initiatives. 

Your Profile

Essential Experience 

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, data architecture or technology consulting. 

• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale AWS, data and AI solutions. 

• Strong experience translating business requirements into technical architecture designs. 

• Practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, machine learning. 

• Strong understanding of LLM architecture, security, performance and cost. 

• Experience working with senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary delivery teams. 

• Experience evaluating current-state technology environments and defining future-state architectures. 

Technical Skills 

Strong understanding of: 

• AWS architecture and Well-Architected principles 

• Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker and related AWS AI services 

• Generative AI, Agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation 

• Model selection, evaluation, token usage and cost optimisation 

• Enterprise data architecture and integration 

• AWS security, identity, networking and monitoring 

• Responsible AI, governance and regulatory compliance 

• DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code and production observability 

Preferred qualifications include: 

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline. 

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional 

• Relevant practical experience designing and delivering AI solutions on AWS.
