At PwC, our people in operations consulting specialise in providing consulting services on optimising operational efficiency and effectiveness. These individuals analyse client needs, develop operational strategies, and offer guidance and support to help clients streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business performance.In operations and solutions at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services to optimise overall operational performance and develop innovative solutions. You will work closely with clients to analyse operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Working in this area, you will provide guidance on implementing technology solutions, process automation, and operational excellence frameworks.
Responsibilities:
● Support the delivery of operations consulting engagements, including research, data collection,
analysis and preparation of client deliverables.
● Work with client stakeholders across sales, manufacturing and procurement to understand processes,
challenges and improvement priorities.
● Analyse sales, manufacturing and procurement workflows, data and performance to identify operational
improvement opportunities and develop practical recommendations.
● Assist with process mapping, benchmarking, performance analysis and implementation planning.
● Gather information from different functions, validate findings with client teams and track agreed
improvement actions.
● Prepare reports, presentations, case studies and other reusable project materials.
● Support proposal development and other business development activities as required.
Mandatory skill sets:
● Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
● Clear written and verbal communication in English, including report-writing and presentation skills.
● Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
● Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across sales, manufacturing and procurement, manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
● Willingness to learn quickly and travel to project locations as required.
Preferred skill sets:
● Exposure to cross-functional projects involving sales, manufacturing or procurement processes.
● Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Theory of Constraints, business process re-engineering or related improvement methods.
● Experience with process mapping, advanced Excel or data-visualisation tools.
● Experience supporting operational improvement or transformation initiatives; certification in an improvement methodology is an advantage.
Years of experience required:
● 3-5 years of relevant experience in consulting, sales, procurement or manufacturing.
Education qualification:
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (BBA) from a recognised university. An MBA is an advantage
