Employment Associate, Senior Associate or Managing Senior Associate (2+ years' PQE) for the Employment & Reward Group, a team of more than 60 UK employment lawyers. The successful candidate can be based in any of our UK offices (Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, London, Birmingham or Leeds).

The work covers strategic employment advice, complex tribunal claims, cross-border issues, restructuring and redundancy, senior-level grievances, executive and boardroom issues, and support on M&A and outsourcing deals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic employment law advice to FTSE and international clients
Complex employment tribunal claims, including discrimination and whistleblowing
Cross-border information and consultation, benefit redesign and global mobility advice
Restructuring and redundancy
Executive-level issues: senior recruitment and termination, executive compensation, bonus claims, team moves, restrictive covenants
Supporting clients on M&A and outsourcing transactions
Contributing to strategic projects (change management, reward philosophy, gender pay gap audits) and cross-office initiatives

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

At least 2 years' employment law experience in a commercial practice
Experience of strategic employment advice, complex tribunal claims, cross-border issues, restructuring/redundancy and senior-level grievances
Strong academic background and technical strength
Commercial awareness and understanding of how a large international firm operates
Team player with excellent communication skills

Desirable

High-value and High Court litigation experience
Appetite for M&A and outsourcing work
