About the Programme
This is a structured 18–24 month global programme designed to launch high-potential commercial careers. You don’t need prior sales or payments experience; what you need is ambition, curiosity, resilience, and the drive to build relationships and solve complex problems.
You will join a global cohort of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) with structured learning, dedicated coaching from sales leaders, and real commercial responsibility from month one. Throughout the programme, you will master enterprise sales: researching strategic accounts, engaging senior decision-makers, conducting sharp discovery conversations, and building pipeline that drives real business growth.
High performers transition into Sales, Account Management, and other commercial roles across the business. Many of our top commercial leaders, including our Chief Revenue Officer, started their journey at Checkout.com as BDRs or interns. Whether you are a recent graduate, an early-career professional with 1–3 years of experience, or a career switcher, what matters most is your hunger to learn and achieve.
What You’ll Do
Research Strategic Accounts: Identify high-value targets by researching key organizations, industries, and executive stakeholders.
Initiate High-Impact Outreach: Open doors with senior decision-makers using personalized outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn.
Build Qualified Pipeline: Drive consistent growth momentum through disciplined prospecting, rigorous follow-up, and account mapping.
Run Consultative Discovery: Uncover merchants' technical and business challenges to align Checkout.com’s solutions with their goals.
Partner on Live Deals: Work alongside Sales Representatives to support opportunities through to deal execution.
Leverage AI & Modern Tech: Use CRM, intent data, and approved AI tools to streamline research, refine outreach, and work smarter.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from recent graduates and professionals with 1–3 years of experience looking to change careers. Regardless of your background, we are looking for the following core skills to set you up for success:
Driven & Goal-Oriented: You set high personal standards, work hard, and stay motivated when tackling challenging commercial goals.
Resilient & Adaptable: You bounce back quickly from rejection, view obstacles as practice, and maintain consistent output.
Relational & Engaging: You genuinely enjoy starting conversations, asking sharp questions, and building trust with diverse stakeholders.
Track Record of Achievement: You demonstrate drive and ownership through professional, academic, athletic, or entrepreneurial success.
Commercial & Tech Curiosity: You are eager to learn complex fintech products and use AI and sales tools to work smarter.
Coachability & Clear Communication: You listen well, articulate ideas clearly, and actively apply feedback to improve performance.
