Billing Operations Manager – Public 360° Tieto Indtech (m/f/d)

Take ownership of billing operations for Public 360° and help us build smarter, more scalable ways of working

We are looking for a hands-on Billing Operations Manager to take ownership of billing operations for Public 360°, one of Tieto Indtech’s key software businesses serving public sector organizations across the Nordics.

In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibility for our Norwegian billing and forecasting operations, while also playing an important role in improving and harmonizing how we work across the Nordic region.

This is not a traditional back-office accounting role. You will work close to the Public 360° business and combine operational responsibility with process improvement, automation and cross-functional collaboration. Working closely with Finance, Sales, Product and Implementation, you will help ensure accurate billing and revenue forecasting while continuously improving the processes, systems and ways of working behind them.

Your work will directly support the Public 360° business, our customers and our ability to scale efficiently across the Nordics.
 

When joining Public 360° as a Billing Operations Manager, you will:

Own our billing operations

• Own and manage invoicing and revenue forecasting for Public 360° in Norway
• Handle recurring, annual and usage-based billing across our cloud and on-premise solutions
• Ensure accurate billing data and support month-end closing and revenue reporting
• Investigate discrepancies and strengthen financial controls and data quality
• Work closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, Product and Implementation to ensure smooth billing operations
• Take ownership of operational issues and help ensure that billing processes run accurately and efficiently

Improve and develop how we work

• Identify bottlenecks and improve billing and forecasting workflows within Public 360°
• Drive automation through system enhancements, integrations and practical AI-enabled solutions
• Create clear procedures and documentation that support consistency, transparency and scale
• Collaborate with colleagues across Nordic markets to develop more harmonized billing practices
• Support the development and implementation of new billing models as our products and commercial models evolve
• Help turn manual and complex processes into smarter, simpler and more scalable ways of working

Who we are looking for

You enjoy combining structure, accuracy and ownership with curiosity and continuous improvement. You are comfortable being close to the details and taking responsibility for day-to-day billing operations, while also seeing opportunities to improve the bigger picture.

You are someone who spots issues before they grow, enjoys solving problems and can work across different functions and stakeholders to get things done. You thrive in an environment where priorities can change and where accuracy, initiative and follow-through matter.

We believe you have:

• 3–5 years of experience in billing operations, revenue accounting or financial process management
• Hands-on experience with invoicing systems, ERP solutions or billing platforms
• A solid understanding of revenue recognition and order-to-cash processes
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience managing complex workflows involving several stakeholders
• An interest in automation, AI tools and technology-enabled process improvement
• Fluency in English and in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience from software, SaaS, cloud services or subscription-based business models
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
• Experience working in an international or Nordic multi-market environment
• Experience with billing models combining subscriptions, recurring revenue, usage-based billing or software-related services
