Business Dev Manager, Performance Marketing, IN PLX, IN Marketing
AI in this role
Business Development Manager owning strategy and execution for AI content, shoppable media, and monetization verticals.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to own end-to-end strategy and execution for three new verticals under the Associates program: AI Content, Shoppable Media and Monetization. This is a charter-building role. You will take these verticals from 1 to 10, partnering with cross-functional teams inside Amazon and influencing CXO-level stakeholders at India's top publishers to build Amazon's distributed commerce engine.
This role is part of the Amazon India Performance Marketing team.
What Makes This Role Exciting
You will build, not just manage. Shoppable Media, AI Content, and Monetization are new verticals with significant potential. You will define the strategy, build the partnerships, and shape how Amazon India approaches distributed commerce.
You will operate at the intersection of media, commerce, and AI. This is one of the few roles where you get to work across publisher CXOs, Amazon Ads leadership, WW product teams, and Retail category heads, all in service of building something new.
The charter is real and the ambition is high. You are joining a team that is taking new verticals from 1 to 10 through strategy, meticulous execution, and fast experimentation. The opportunity to shape what comes next is wide open.
Who You Are
You have deep knowledge of India's digital media landscape, publisher business models, and content monetization trends. You know the key players and how deals get done.
You have a track record of building partnerships or programs from the ground up, not just managing existing ones. You are comfortable with ambiguity and move fast through it.
You think strategically about long-term business trends while staying grounded in meticulous execution. You can see where the market is heading and build plans to get there.
You bring analytical rigor to decision-making. You can build compelling, data-backed value propositions and use numbers to tell a story.
You are effective at influencing without authority, working cross-organizationally across product, category, ads, and leadership teams to build alignment and drive outcomes.
You are willing to roll up your sleeves and operate with limited guidance. You bring curiosity, commercial instincts, and strong business judgment.
Key job responsibilities
Own the strategy for AI Content development and Shoppable Media. You will set the direction, build the playbook, and drive execution through fast experimentation.
Build acquisition engine for Shoppable Media by partnering with India's largest Media and Lifestyle publishers. Define the value proposition, lead CXO-level conversations, and close partnerships that scale.
Partner with Ads, Category, and Finance stakeholders to build strong processes that scale monetization across Sponsored Products, Amazon Ads, and Co-op programs.
Develop and drive monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term content acquisition objectives through Media and Lifestyle publishers. Own growth targets and path to get there.
Accelerate adoption of Amazon Storefronts and supporting tools - Advertising APIs, education resources, Automated Product Tagging and reporting to power AI and Shoppable Media at scale.
Work closely with leadership and World-wide product teams to inform the product roadmap, providing structured feedback on product requirements grounded in publisher and creator needs.
Bring industry insights, trends, and Voice of Customer into every decision. Partner with the Research and Insights team to build an outside-in view that shapes strategy and investment priorities.
Partner with Marketing, Ads, and Retail category leaders to support strategic Amazon businesses and unlock cross-functional growth.

Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: Business Development, Performance Marketing, Partnerships, Strategy, and Content Monetization. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them — a tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
