AI in this role
Build early-stage outbound pipeline in the UK for an AI workflow platform through high-volume prospecting and messaging.
Work is being rewritten, and the people holding the pen are the ones who actually run it.
With enterprise-grade governance, flexible model choice, and a collaborative interface for humans and agents to work together, Dust empowers AI Operators at the world’s fastest-moving companies to rewire how work gets done.
With 70%+ weekly active users, people stick with Dust as much as they do with Slack and Notion. We don't get piloted and shelved. We land once, and spread. We're at an exciting stage of our journey, and growing fast.
We're serving great customers like Datadog, 1Password, Cursor, Clay, Vanta and Persona, and aim to x5 our growth by the end of 2026.
Dust is backed by Sequoia with a determined team of optimists (coming from Stripe, OpenAI, and Stanford) who like to focus on users, ship fast, and don't take themselves too seriously while doing so. The Generalist named us among the Future 50.
SummaryWe're hiring our first dedicated BDR for the UK market to build and own early-stage pipeline in London. This is a net-new role — you won't inherit a warm book of business, and that's the point. You'll be the person who figures out how we win in the UK, running outbound from day one with real ownership over a market we're just beginning to unlock. For the right person, this is a direct path to AE.
What you'll doOwn outbound pipeline generation
Run high-volume, high-quality outbound across email, LinkedIn, and cold calling targeting UK enterprise buyers
Build and iterate on sequences that get responses — you write the copy, test the angles, and improve the numbers
Hit 30+ meetings booked per month, consistently
Drive event presence and follow-up
Represent Dust at UK-based events and convert conversations into pipeline
Own follow-up from events with speed and precision — no leads left to go cold
Feed event insights back into outbound messaging
Support AEs and help close the loop
Partner with AEs on follow-up for warm conversations that need a nudge
Help keep deals moving in the early stages without taking over the sales cycle
Be the connective tissue between early interest and a qualified meeting
Build market and product knowledge
Develop genuine fluency in Dust's product and how it maps to UK buyer problems
Stay close to what's happening in the UK AI and enterprise software landscape
Use that knowledge to personalise outreach and earn credibility with buyers fast
Iterate and improve the playbook
Track what's working and what isn't — bring data and hypotheses, not just activity
Contribute to a BDR playbook that doesn't exist yet; you're building it
Use AI tools to research accounts, personalise at scale, and work smarter
Requirements
Every candidate and employee's success is measured against the same 3 dimensions. Aptitude, Attitude and Agency.
Aptitude
You have prior BDR experience and a proven record of booking meetings through outbound — cold calling, email sequencing, and LinkedIn are second nature
You can hold a sharp, credible conversation with a senior buyer that earns an AE meeting, not just a rejection
You know how to manage and improve your own metrics — pipeline velocity, conversion rates, outreach quality — without needing to be coached on what to track
You're genuinely fluent in AI tools and use them to research accounts, personalise outreach, and scale your output — not as a novelty but as a core part of how you work
You understand the UK enterprise software landscape well enough to know who to target, how to reach them, and what they actually care about
Attitude
You're resilient — rejection is information, not discouragement, and you stay sharp across a full day of outbound
You're collaborative with AEs and the wider team without being dependent on them to generate your pipeline
You give and receive direct feedback, and you're honest about what's working and what isn't
You're scrappy — you find a way when the playbook doesn't exist, and you don't wait for perfect conditions to perform
You show up prepared, energised, and ready to represent Dust well in every interaction with a prospect
Agency
You don't wait for a territory or a sequence to be handed to you — you build your own approach and take ownership of the UK market from day one
You're on track to be an AE and you act like it — you understand the full sales motion and you're already thinking about what comes after the meeting is booked
You iterate on your messaging independently: you test, analyse, and improve without being asked
You spot gaps in coverage — an untouched segment, a weak follow-up cadence, a missed event — and you act on them before anyone else notices
You treat 30 meetings/month as a floor, not a ceiling
We're prioritizing building our team with an in-person culture at our offices in Paris, London, San Francisco, and New York because we value the magic that happens when talented people work closely together.
We have an office-first culture. Some of the best things about building at Dust are the energy, the fast decisions, and the unexpected conversations that unlock a hard problem, which happen because we are in the same room. Being together is not a formality, it is how we do our best work, and it is something we actively protect.
That said, we hire people with strong judgement and we extend that trust to how they manage their time. When working from home makes more sense for what you need to get done that day, we trust you to make that call.
The models are powerful enough. What's missing is the product layer where AI meets how companies actually work. That's what we're building: the infrastructure that lets any team turn scattered knowledge and tools into coordinated execution with agents they build, own, and run themselves.
We use Dust ourselves every day. We get to shape how humans and agents collaborate while solving our own problems with the product we ship. That loop is rare, and it's why we move fast.
If you're excited about defining a new category and want to join a determined team of optimists who focus on users, ship fast, and don't take themselves too seriously, we'd love to talk.
Even if you don't check every box in our requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and we're more interested in your potential and passion than a perfect match to our checklist.

Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents, B2b Sales, Cold Outreach, Lead Generation, and OpenAI. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
