Your Role

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to join CMA CGM Malaysia as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the finance function for our Malaysia and Singapore cluster.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, strengthening internal controls and managing cash flow while supporting key business decisions.

What are you going to do?

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including statutory, tax and audit requirements, in compliance with Group policies and applicable accounting standards.

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reviews, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.

• Monitor revenue, operating costs and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and business improvement.

• Oversee receivables, credit control, collections and bad-debt exposure.

• Manage working capital, cash forecasting and treasury activities in line with Group policies.

• Partner with management on pricing, commercial opportunities, investments and business improvement initiatives.

• Maintain effective internal controls, oversee audit follow-ups and manage financial and compliance risks.

• Lead and develop the finance team while driving process improvements and strengthening collaboration with shared services teams.

Who are we looking for?

• 15+ years of senior finance leadership experience, with a strong track record in finance, business performance management, strategy or commercial finance.
• Proven experience partnering with CEOs, executive leadership teams and senior stakeholders in a complex multinational environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A Master's degree or recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is preferred.

• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation, audit and internal controls.

• Strong commercial judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Experience in the shipping, logistics or maritime industry is preferred, with an understanding of agency operations, cost control and profitability management.

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems is an advantage.
