Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor to join our team for a major AEP refinery project in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand. This role is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the opportunity to continue as an ongoing, longer-term assignment and is available to Thai Nationals only.

What makes you remarkable?

Reporting to the Construction Manager / Site Construction Lead, your immediate focus will be overseeing electrical construction activities on a major EPCM refinery project, ensuring safe execution, quality compliance, and schedule achievement across all assigned work areas.

You will thrive in a site-based environment where your ability to coordinate contractors, monitor construction progress, and proactively address challenges will contribute to successful project delivery.

In addition, you will:

•    Ensure that all contractors’ supervision are comply with all aspects of the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and client requirements
•    Ensure contractors working within the electrical discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and site instructions
•    Verify correct application of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) devices for electrical equipment and confirm isolation integrity.
•    Raise any concern to the Area Authority regarding isolations.
•    Confirm subsystem boundary isolation is in place and protecting other work parties.
•    Apply isolation (BI, LOTO, EPIC) as per LOTO procedure.
•    Update Single Line Diagram and Isolation register (BI, LOTO, EPIC) at buildings/units.
•    Update all isolation and de-isolation register / diagram.
•    Ensure work under PTW complies with project safety requirements.
•    Review and Approve Livening Up Notice (LUN).
•    Ensures implementation of LOTO procedure, maintains updated registers, verifies LOTO application regularly.
•    Applying and removing electrical isolations and maintaining the Electrical Isolation Register.
•    Control all voltages, prepare switching programs, and demonstrate high-level electrical safety knowledge.
•    Remove Isolation against valid PTW and Isolation De-Isolation Lockout List.
•    Responsible for controlling, managing and updating the LOTO register as well as LOTO devices inventory including purchasing.
•    Monitor progress and ensure all activities are completed in accordance with approved schedules, quality requirements, and project objectives
•    Responsible for HSES and quality performance within assigned areas and ensure contractors complete their work safely and efficiently
•    Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, project engineers, quality personnel, vendors, and client representatives to achieve project milestones
•    Ensure testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities are completed in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards
•    Provide proactive support to the project team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the construction site

Expected:

  • This opportunity is available to Thai Nationals only. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Thailand.
  • Suitably qualified with a Vocational Certificate, Diploma, or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, you will ideally have experience in an Electrical Supervisor role on major EPCM, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Power projects, supported by a minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical construction experience.

In addition, you will:

•    Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
•    Have experience working on live plant, greenfield, brownfield, turnaround, shutdown, or revamp projects within industrial facilities
•    Have at least 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Power Generation, or similar process industry environments
•    Possess strong knowledge of electrical construction drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, layouts, and quality requirements
•    Have experience supervising electrical equipment testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning works including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, power distribution systems, lighting systems, grounding systems, and instrument power supplies
•    Demonstrate good HSES awareness and commitment, including experience preparing or reviewing Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), pre-commissioning, and commissioning program, and Switching program for Energization and De Energization of all Electrical equipment.
•    Be capable of monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements
•    Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
•    Demonstrate sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic construction environment
•    Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
