AI in this role
Support customers and configure identity verification solutions as a Field Product Engineer at Persona.
About Persona
Persona is the configurable identity platform built for businesses in a digital-first world. Verifying individuals and organizations is harder — but more important — than ever, with AI enabling fraudsters to launch sophisticated accounts at scale and regulations evolving rapidly.
We’ve built Persona to support practically every use case and industry — that’s why we’re able to serve a wide range of leading companies. For example, Reddit relies on Persona for age assurance and verification to comply with online safety regulations, protecting younger users while maintaining a seamless experience. Meanwhile, OpenAI relies on Persona to keep bad actors out, protecting one of the world’s most powerful AI platforms from large-scale abuse in a time when AI is reshaping the way we work and live.
We’re growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people to join us!
About the Role
As Persona’s first Field Product Engineer in the UK, you’ll help customers turn complex identity challenges into practical solutions. You’ll work alongside our Solutions Engineering, Sales and Customer Success teams across the customer journey—from preparing technical demonstrations to configuring solutions and supporting customers as they get started with Persona.
This is an early-career opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving and working with people. You don’t need to arrive as an expert in identity verification or enterprise software. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our platform through hands-on projects, mentorship and real customer engagements, taking on greater responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.
As part of our growing UK presence, you’ll also help shape how we share knowledge, support customers and onboard future teammates.
What you’ll do at Persona
Build expertise in our product. Learn how Persona’s verification tools, workflows and APIs fit together to help businesses verify identities, prevent fraud and build trust.
Bring customer solutions to life. Configure, test and refine solutions for specific customer needs, with guidance from experienced teammates.
Support demos and proofs of concept. Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering to prepare tailored demonstrations, test use cases and help prospective customers understand what’s possible with Persona.
Help customers get started. Work with Customer Success and Solutions Engineering to support onboarding, answer technical questions and help customers make the most of our platform.
Investigate technical challenges. Reproduce issues, work through potential solutions and collaborate with the right teammates when a problem needs deeper investigation.
Make your learnings reusable. Create clear documentation, guides and examples that help customers and teammates solve similar problems.
Bring the customer perspective into Persona. Share feedback and concrete examples with Product and Engineering to help improve the platform.
Contribute to our growing UK team. Help develop the resources and ways of working that will support future Field Product Engineers.
What you’ll bring to Persona
You’re early in your career. Typically 0–1 years of professional experience, with no previous full-time experience required. You may be a recent graduate, a career changer or someone with relevant internships, coursework or personal projects.
Technical curiosity and a foundation to build on. You’re interested in how software works and have explored APIs, web development, scripting or querying data through study, projects or work. You don’t need to know our technology stack already.
Clear communication. You enjoy explaining ideas, asking thoughtful questions and adapting your approach to technical and non-technical audiences.
An interest in customers. You want to understand not just how something works, but what someone is trying to achieve and why it matters.
Resourcefulness and follow-through. You’re organised, willing to investigate unfamiliar problems and comfortable asking for help when you need it.
A growth mindset. You seek out feedback, act on it and enjoy collaborating with people who have different perspectives and expertise.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for customer engagements.
Nice to Have, Not Required
Experience building something with an API or using a language such as Python, JavaScript, SQL or Ruby.
Experience presenting a project, giving a demonstration or helping someone solve a technical problem.
An interest in identity verification, fraud prevention or compliance.
Benefits and Perks
For full-time US-based employees (excluding internship and contractor opportunities), Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipend, wellness benefits, among others.
For full-time UK employees, Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including private medical insurance, dental insurance, a 6% employer pension contribution, unlimited PTO, a monthly wellness stipend, professional development stipend, co-working stipend, and more.
