About the role

This is a full-time, fully office-based role, based at either our UK campus in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, or our London office on Oxford Street.

As our Finance Director for GB&I, you will lead the financial agenda for one of Dyson’s key markets, partnering with the GB&I Managing Director and Market Leadership Team to shape strategy, accelerate sustainable growth and strengthen long-term profitability.

Reporting to the Global Revenue Performance, Senior Finance Director, you will provide the commercial judgement, insight and constructive challenge that turns market ambition into financial outcomes. You will connect GB&I performance with the wider cluster, region and Group, ensuring decisions on portfolio, investment, channels and operations create sustainable value.

You will:

• Shape the long-term financial strategy for GB&I, building the five-year P&L outlook and translating commercial ambition into clear portfolio, investment and value-creation choices.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and Market Leadership Team, influencing major commercial decisions and challenging assumptions, priorities and investment choices.
• Own market financial performance, creating a clear narrative across sell-out, sell-in, trade stock, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital.
• Direct planning and performance management, setting high standards for forecasting, budgeting, risk and opportunity management and delivery against commitments.
• Lead financial governance across GB&I, maintaining robust statutory, tax, legal, control and risk-management disciplines.
• Drive commercial effectiveness across channels, including Direct, Indirect, B2B/Professional and eCommerce, ensuring investment and resources deliver stronger returns.
• Transform financial and operational performance, partnering with Dyson Business Services and global teams to simplify processes, improve systems and strengthen decision-making.
• Build a high-performing finance organisation, developing leadership capability, succession and talent while creating strong connections across market, cluster, region and Group.

About you

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• 10+ years’ relevant finance experience, with substantial leadership experience in a complex multinational organisation.
• A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Significant experience owning P&L performance and influencing senior commercial leaders.
• Strong strategic and commercial judgement, with the ability to connect financial, customer and operational insight to business decisions.
• Experience leading and developing senior finance teams within a fast-moving, matrixed organisation.
• The credibility and influence to challenge at executive level, combining independence of thought with collaborative leadership.
• A track record of leading transformation and improving financial processes, controls and decision-making.
• The ability to move confidently between long-term strategy and the detail required to deliver results.
• Experience in retail, consumer or multichannel commercial finance, including indirect retail and eCommerce, and exposure to SAP or OneStream would be advantageous.
