Lead the end-to-end go-to-market organization for Amazon Smart Commerce, AI-first, agentic solution for emerging D2C brands. Own sales, marketing, account management, partnerships and international expansion, with responsibility for delivering ambitious growth and adoption goals.

Smart Commerce is building the next generation of commerce solutions to help emerging brands start, operate and grow their businesses. We are looking for an entrepreneurial GTM leader to define and execute our growth strategy in India and expand the business into international markets.

This leader will build and lead a high-performing organization spanning Sales, Marketing, Account Management and Partnerships. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of scaling software or technology businesses, preferably serving D2C brands or SMBs, and consistently delivering outsized results.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, customer obsession and the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution. Experience in digital and performance marketing, building agentic solution is highly preferred.

Key job responsibilities
Own Smart Commerce GTM strategy and execution across Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Partnerships and International Expansion.

Deliver ambitious goals across customer acquisition, adoption, retention and revenue growth.

Build, lead and develop a high-performing GTM organization and leadership team.

Define customer segmentation, sales motions, coverage models and scalable GTM playbooks.

Develop demand-generation programs across performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, events and partnerships.

Build deep understanding of D2C brands, their economics and pain points, and translate insights into growth opportunities.

Identify new customer segments, channels, partnerships and international expansion opportunities.

Establish operating mechanisms and metrics across pipeline, conversion, productivity, retention and customer growth.

Partner closely with Product and Tech to bring customer insights into roadmap prioritization and successfully launch new AI and agentic capabilities.

Build strategic relationships with founders, senior customers and ecosystem partners.

Hire and develop strong leaders while creating a culture of ownership, customer obsession and delivering results.

Influence senior stakeholders across Amazon on GTM strategy, priorities and investments.

Smart Commerce helps emerging brands succeed in an increasingly complex, multi-channel commerce environment.

Our vision is to build an AI-first, agentic partner for D2C brands that simplifies how businesses acquire customers, sell online, manage orders and operate across channels.

The team brings together Product, Technology and Go-to-Market capabilities and operates with a builder mindset. We start with India while building solutions and GTM models that can scale internationally.

The Head of Sales & Marketing will be a key member of the Smart Commerce leadership team and will help shape both our growth strategy and the future direction of the business.

Basic qualifications

- 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
- 7+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
- 7+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

- 7+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience
