We are seeking experienced Industrial Cleaners to join a unique defence program based in Rockingham, Western Australia. This permanent full-time role includes an exceptional opportunity to undertake specialist training for approximately 15 months at Pearl Harbour, Hawaii before returning to Rockingham, Perth to contribute long-term to Australian Navy projects.

Our Underwater Systems team are proud to support the Royal Australian Navy, providing integrated mission-critical solutions to below-surface platforms. With access to some of the world’s most advanced technologies, our people enable naval forces around the world with our state-of-the-art Sonar and undersea combat systems.

YOUR ROLE

As an SSN Industrial Cleaner you will be involved with Virgina Class Submarine maintenance and support activities.This role is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, preservation and detailing activities associated with hazardous and radiologically access-controlled (reactor) compartments, equipment and materials in support of Virginia Class Submarine maintenance activities. The role supports nuclear safety, regulatory compliance and operational readiness requirements at PHNSY.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Relevant experience in industrial cleaning, surface preparation or maintenance environments

• Decontamination of hazardous and radioactive systems, equipment and components

• Certificate III in Cleaning Operations trade qualification (highly desirable)

• Willingness to relocate to Perth for ongoing employment

• Ability to successfully complete required medical and dental assessments
