Location: Pune, Maharashtra Or Noida, U.P., India

The Journal Operations Coordinator supports the administration of operational activities at scale across the Research publishing business, including process and workflow change updates, editorial data management, operational change tracking, transition implementation and tracking, and other supporting activities. The role supports both large-scale projects and strategic implementations, as well as business-as-usual (BAU) operations. Working across regional and team boundaries, the coordinator facilitates centralized efforts to maintain product-level data and drive workflow standardization. This position reports to a Senior Manager within the Publishing Operations team, who provides direction on project priorities and the strategic direction of the team.

 

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Provide operational support for day-to-day journal activities, including Wiley Online Library (WOL) maintenance, Author Guidelines updates, editorial contact data auditing, operational change tracking, and ticketing system support.
  • Perform downstream activities across the business to support the centralization of standard journal operational functions across the portfolio.
  • Assist in implementing large-scale programs and initiatives across the Research business that enhance journal portfolios while improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Support an "always-on" operational capability to deliver large-scale, portfolio-wide projects with quick turnaround times.
  • Execute operational activities with a focus on speed, accuracy, standardization, optimization, and harmonization.
  • Coordinate updates to title-level data within central management information systems, including related data-cleaning activities.
  • Serve as a regional point of contact for cross-departmental information requests and provide administrative support for data audits in STEP.
  • Act as a first-line resource for data audit efforts across the Research business, utilizing key central systems.
  • Support planned annual and sprint-based initiatives to ensure data reliability across the business.
  • Provide administrative support for journal transition and transformation activities, including new launches, takeovers, and transfers out.
  • Track transition activities and provide due diligence support throughout the transition process.
  • Maintain and update all necessary forms, documentation, and supporting resources.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in publishing operations, editorial support, data management, project coordination, or a related field. Relevant internships will also be considered.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage operational activities at scale.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively across regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting process improvements, workflow updates, operational tracking, and data management activities.
  • Strong coordination and project support skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness.
  • A collaborative approach with a focus on standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with management information systems, data audits, and operational tracking tools is preferred.
