The difference you’ll make

You’ll sit in the Bookings team, reporting to the Director of OTA Platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, operational, finance, and customer service leaders to define and deliver the long-term product vision for Bookings, defining the shared workflows, backend capabilities, and data foundations that power internal operators, customer experiences, and future channels. Together, the team will focus on making holiday commerce scalable after checkout by automating routine post-order tasks, ensuring trusted data accuracy, and creating reusable capabilities across products and channels.

Bookings sits within our Platform function, which builds the technology and shared capabilities that power the loveholidays experience. By creating scalable products, systems and tools, Platform helps the wider organisation move faster, work more independently and deliver better outcomes for customers.

Your day-to-day:

  • Define and deliver the strategic roadmap, outcomes, and metrics for post-order platform capabilities in close partnership with Engineering, Finance, and Operations.

  • Build flexible, scalable backend capabilities, APIs, and shared workflows for bookings, amendments, financial operations, and customer contact handling.

  • Improve data accuracy and availability across order, booking, margin, and cost data to create reliable foundations for all internal and external consumers.

  • Drive operational efficiency by using data, AI, and smart automation to reduce routine manual work and simplify post-order exception handling.

  • Work closely with Engineering on technical strategy, including service boundaries, event/data models, observability, and migration from legacy systems.

  • Use data-led decision-making to define success measures such as resolution time, cost to serve, API adoption, and reconciliation accuracy.

Your skillset:

  • Proven record of platform product leadership owning technical, API-heavy, data-rich, or operational platform products used by multiple teams.

  • Strong systems thinking ability to model complex end-to-end workflows and translate business needs into extensible product capabilities.

  • Technical fluency across APIs, service orchestration, data models, integration contracts, and system reliability to partner closely with engineering.

  • Operational and customer empathy with a track record of designing smart automation that improves both user experience and cost-to-serve.

  • Data and financial judgment with strong experience defining metrics, evaluating performance, and making confident trade-offs under operational constraints.

  • Strategic execution and influential communication skills to build cross-functional alignment, write clear decision narratives, and navigate ambiguity.
