Global Offshore Service Sales is responsible for developing, negotiating and securing commercially attractive and operationally sustainable service solutions for Vestas' offshore wind projects.
The department leads the commercial service activities throughout the sales process, from early customer engagement and tender strategy through proposal development, pricing, contract negotiation, internal governance and final handover to Operations. Key responsibilities of the existing organization include defining the SAA scope and commercial offering, preparation of SAA and OSA offers and pricing, negotiating agreements and schedules, obtaining internal approvals and SCM mandates, and handing signed agreements over to Operations.
Working at the interface between customers and Vestas' Commercial, Contracting, Finance, Technical, Product and Operations organizations, Service Sales ensures that customer requirements are translated into competitive service solutions with an appropriate balance between customer value, profitability, risk and operational deliverability.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead the service commercial workstream for complex offshore wind opportunities throughout the sales and negotiation lifecycle.
- Develop the service sales and negotiation strategy in close alignment with the wider project and turbine sales strategy.
- Lead preparation and negotiation of Service and Availability Agreements (SAA), Operational Support Agreements (OSA) and associated schedules and commercial documentation.
- Define the proposed service scope and commercial offering, working closely with technical, operational and commercial subject matter experts.
- Develop competitive commercial solutions that balance customer requirements, value creation, profitability, risk and operational feasibility.
- Lead and coordinate the cross-functional Service Sales project team and ensure high-quality deliverables within agreed bidding and contracting timelines.
- Own the commercial customer dialogue for service-related topics, including tender clarifications, commercial negotiations and executive-level discussions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and develop a deep understanding of customers' commercial drivers and long-term service requirements.
- Lead development and approval of service pricing together with Finance, Operations, Cost Management and relevant specialists.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and opportunities and drive appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare projects for internal governance and decision gates and obtain required commercial and risk mandates through the relevant approval processes.
- Act as a senior sparring partner for colleagues on complex negotiations and commercial topics.
Your qualifications:
- A relevant university degree within business, economics, engineering, law or another relevant discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
- Substantial experience from complex B2B sales, commercial management, contract negotiation or project development.
- Experience negotiating complex, long-term commercial agreements.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding, combined with the ability to understand technical and operational implications.
- Experience working in an international, matrix organization and coordinating multiple functions and senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage complex tender or negotiation processes with demanding customers.
- Strong financial understanding and experience working with pricing, business cases, risk/reward considerations and commercial decision-making.
- Excellent written and spoken English and strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Your competencies:
- Think commercially: You understand value drivers and can translate complex technical and contractual topics into commercial decisions.
- Lead negotiations: You are comfortable navigating complex negotiations and can distinguish between issues that matter and issues that do not.
- Take ownership: You drive topics proactively and maintain momentum even when responsibilities span several functions.
- Navigate complexity: You can structure large amounts of technical, commercial and contractual information and turn them into clear recommendations.
- Build trust: You develop credible relationships with customers as well as internal stakeholders.
- Influence without authority: You can bring multidisciplinary teams together and create alignment in a matrix organization.
- Balance risk and opportunity: You are commercially ambitious while maintaining a disciplined understanding of contractual and operational risk.
- Communicate with impact: You can explain complex issues clearly and adapt your communication from specialists to senior management and customers.
- Stay pragmatic under pressure: You maintain judgment and focus during demanding tender and negotiation periods.
- Challenge constructively: You are comfortable questioning established positions while remaining solution-oriented.
- Collaborate: You believe the strongest commercial solutions are developed by combining Sales, Operations, Finance, Technical and Contracting expertise.
What we offer:
- A key role in shaping long-term service agreements supporting major offshore wind projects.
- Direct exposure to sophisticated international customers and complex commercial negotiations.
- Significant responsibility and opportunity to influence commercial strategy and deal outcomes.
- The opportunity to work across commercial, contractual, financial, technical and operational disciplines.
- A highly international working environment involving colleagues and stakeholders across multiple markets.
- Exposure to senior management through strategic deal reviews and commercial decision-making.
- The opportunity to influence how Vestas' offshore service offering, commercial standards and ways of working continue to develop.
- A position combining customer engagement, strategy, negotiation, leadership and problem solving, rather than traditional transactional sales.

- Development & Expertise: Varied work in a forward-looking industry and individual opportunities for professional growth
- Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: Overtime account, option to work from home up to 8 days per month, 30 days of vacation plus Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve off, and the option for a sabbatical
