Amazon Global Selling has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 21 overseas marketplaces, and supporting local Sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. Our vision is to be the first choice for all types of Chinese business to go globally.

Amazon Global Selling is seeking an experienced, results-driven Carrier Business Development Manager to join the Global Seller Supply Chain (GSSC) central PMO team, leading a team of carrier managers focused on building and scaling logistics carrier networks for CN cross-border shipping to emerging marketplaces — including Latin America, Middle East, and other high-growth destinations. In this highly visible role, you will manage the full carrier lifecycle — from acquisition, onboarding, and rate negotiation to performance management and network expansion — while partnering closely with marketplace teams and global product teams to develop logistics solutions that improve seller experience and business outcomes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the logistic strategy for Amazon’s fastest-growing cross-border corridors, influence global product roadmaps, and build a high-performing team in an exciting and fast-paced business. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, has deep carrier management or logistics BD experience, demonstrates a track record of building and developing high-performing teams, excels at navigating complex multi-stakeholder environments across cultures, and possesses best-in-class oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Key job responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Carrier Managers; set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and build a culture of operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.

Own end-to-end carrier acquisition and network expansion for CN-to-emerging-marketplace carriers, identifying and onboarding carriers that meet Amazon’s requirements.

Drive carrier performance management across multiple dimensions, including delivery accuracy, tracking timeliness, cost-to-serve, and compliance; establish and maintain carrier scorecards and performance review cadences.

Lead rate negotiation and cost optimization initiatives with strategic carriers, balancing cost competitiveness with service quality and network resilience.

Partner closely with marketplace teams and global product teams to identify logistics gaps and co-develop shipping solutions that improve seller experience, reduce transit times, and support business growth in emerging markets.

Serve as a program leader for critical cross-border logistics initiatives, independently interfacing with and influencing marketplace leadership and global stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.

Own Operational Planning (3YP/OP1/OP2) for assigned domains, define and deliver key performance indicators, and proactively identify roadblocks and business opportunities.

Lead key planning cycles and reporting cadences for your assigned domain, including regular readouts up to VP level and contributions to SVP-level business reviews.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Business Development, Carrier Management, Logistics, and Negotiation. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
