The role will establish, integrate and govern complex schedules, automate schedule intelligence through Power BI, and convert detailed project controls data into concise PowerPoint reporting for senior leadership. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable working at activity level with planners and workstream owners, and at executive level with decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

A. Primavera P6 Schedule Establishment & Control

Develop, structure and maintain integrated master schedules in Primavera P6 across projects, operational readiness workstreams and key interfaces.

Establish fit-for-purpose enterprise project structures, WBS, activity coding, calendars, logic, milestones, constraints and baselines.

Integrate construction, testing and commissioning, handover, operator mobilisation, operational testing, test events and Day 1 readiness activities.

Validate schedule quality, including logic integrity, open ends, constraints, lags, calendars, float paths and critical or near-critical activities.

Run update cycles, progress validation, variance analysis, forecasting, scenario modelling and schedule recovery planning.

Establish clear controls for schedule ownership, change management, data cut-off, status dates, approvals and baseline governance.

B. Power BI Schedule Analytics

Design and implement Power BI data models and dashboards using Primavera P6 exports and approved project data sources.

Automate progress, milestone, critical path, float, variance, slippage, look-ahead, risk and dependency reporting.

Develop drill-down views from portfolio and programme level to project, workstream, WBS and activity level.

Create clear data definitions and reconciliation controls so the dashboard remains aligned with the approved P6 schedule.

C. Executive PowerPoint Reporting

Produce concise, consulting-quality PowerPoint packs for leadership forums, steering committees and executive reviews.

Translate schedule data into clear messages on performance, critical decisions, key risks, interdependencies and required interventions.

Develop standard reporting pages such as executive summary, milestone outlook, critical path, two-week look-back and look-ahead, trend analysis, decision log and recovery plan.

Ensure every report has a clear storyline, evidence-based conclusions, accountable owners and decision-focused asks.

Generic Responsibilities

Lead planning workshops with project teams, consultants, contractors, operators and functional stakeholders to establish credible plans.

Challenge assumptions constructively and identify gaps between delivery completion and operational readiness.

Define planning and reporting standards, templates, RACI, reporting calendars, quality checks and governance routines.

Coach schedule owners and reporting contributors to improve planning maturity, data quality and accountability.

Provide independent, fact-based advice to senior stakeholders and escalate material schedule risks with practical recommendations.

Key Deliverables:

Approved scheduling framework, coding structure, planning calendar and schedule governance procedure.

Integrated Primavera P6 master schedule with agreed baselines, interfaces, milestones and critical path visibility.

Power BI executive dashboard with documented definitions, refresh process and reconciliation controls.

Capability transfer materials and practical coaching for schedule owners and reporting contributors.

Measures of Success

Leadership receives a timely and consistent view of schedule performance, emerging risks and decisions required.

All major milestones, dependencies and critical paths have clear ownership and traceable source data.
