AI in this role
Lead the creation of member-facing marketing materials and use internal AI productivity frameworks as a required tool for daily tasks.
At Sword, we’re building AI to heal billions and unlock humanity’s full potential. In doing so, we’re pioneering AI Care, a fundamentally new approach to healthcare built for medical reasoning, safety, and real-time treatment, not generic technology applied after the fact. As both a clinical-centric frontier AI lab and an applied AI platform, Sword is reimagining how care is delivered at scale, removing traditional barriers like appointments, waiting rooms, and stigma so more people can access the care they need—and ultimately get back to lives lived in full.
Since 2020, Sword has expanded across physical therapy, women’s health, cardiometabolic, and mental health, and is now moving beyond the session to a fully AI-native, 24/7 care program that brings physical activity, therapeutic exercise, psychotherapy, nutrition, and behavior change into one connected experience. More than 700,000 members across three continents have completed over 10 million AI sessions, helping 1,000+ enterprise clients avoid more than $1 billion in unnecessary healthcare costs. Backed by 42 clinical studies, 44+ patents, and more than $500 million raised from leading investors including Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, and Founders Fund, Sword is defining a new standard for healthcare.

You will own how Sword shows up in front of members across our products and a wide mix of acquisition channels, including email, direct mail, toolkits, landing pages, and paid media. This role sits at the center of a cross-functional group of designers, clinicians, copywriters, and marketing operations partners, and is responsible for turning a deep understanding of member needs into content that drives engagement and enrollment. We are looking for a creative, data-driven, and member-centric marketer who can manage multiple channels at once, move quickly, and keep improving results over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the end-to-end creation of marketing materials for Sword Health members across our products and channels, including email, direct mailers, toolkits, paid media, and more
- Translate member insights, needs, and motivations into clear, compelling messaging and creative concepts tailored to each product and population
- Partner closely with design, clinical, copywriting, customer success, and marketing operations teams to brief, develop, review, and launch materials on time and to Sword’s quality and compliance standards
- Own the planning and execution of campaigns and assets across channels, ensuring a consistent, best-in-class member experience
- Analyze the main performance metrics of each channel (e.g., open and click rates, enrollment conversion, CPA, and engagement) and turn the findings into clear recommendations
- Design and run tests (messaging, creative, audiences, formats) and apply the learnings to continuously improve performance
- Work with clinical partners to make sure content is accurate, empathetic, and aligned with Sword’s clinical approach
- Work with marketing operations on audience segmentation, targeting, and campaign deployment
- Report on campaign and channel performance to internal stakeholders, and surface learnings that can scale across products and channels
- Stay close to the member voice by using feedback, research, and data to shape future content and strategy
What you need to have
- 3–5 years of experience in a marketing role, ideally in B2C, lifecycle, or growth marketing; digital health or B2B2C experience is a plus (but not required)
- Experience creating and managing marketing materials across multiple channels (e.g., email, direct mail, paid media, and/or toolkits)
- Ability to understand member needs and translate them into effective messaging and creative
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives at once
- Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to read channel performance metrics, draw insights, and act on them
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, copy, clinical, and/or operations teams to deliver projects on tight timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A member-centric and growth mindset, with the ability to empathize with our patients and their challenges
- Creative and strategic thinking, with a willingness to test new ideas and push boundaries
- Collaborative with team members within and across US and international locations
- Experience and desire to work in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
What we would love to see (Optional)
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated industries (e.g., familiarity with HIPAA and compliant member communications)
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation or CRM platforms and with paid media platforms
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing and a data-driven approach to optimization
- Experience working with B2B2C models, where you market to end users on behalf of client organizations

Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: Marketing, Campaign Management, Copywriting, Email Marketing, and Paid Media. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Put the AI tool in a bullet point about what you did, not just in a skills list. This role treats it as a required part of the job.
