Role purpose

You will help ensure digital marketing activity is measured accurately, activated responsibly and supported by reliable marketing technology. Working across Argos and Habitat, you will maintain web and app tracking, support advertising operations, troubleshoot measurement issues, and help deliver new capabilities across paid media and customer acquisition.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys understanding how data moves between websites, apps, analytics platforms and media channels, and who can translate technical issues into clear actions for marketing, product, engineering, analytics and agency teams.

What you will do

Manage marketing tags and mobile SDKs using Tealium and related implementation tools.

Support day-to-day advertising operations, including campaign URL tracking, QR codes, platform configuration and technical troubleshooting.

Partner with Analytics teams to investigate data quality, attribution and measurement issues across web and app journeys.

Coordinate the delivery of new marketing technology, tracking and activation capabilities from requirements through testing and launch.

Manage agency and technology-partner backlogs, set priorities, monitor delivery and remove blockers.

Work with media platforms and partners to apply best practice and identify opportunities to improve activation, optimisation and performance.

Use an agile test-and-learn approach to assess new tools, integrations and data-led media capabilities.

Work with Product, Engineering, IT, Legal, Privacy and Data Governance teams to ensure solutions meet business, security and regulatory requirements.

Document implementations, decisions, dependencies and support processes so that solutions can be maintained and scaled.

What success looks like

Tracking and measurement remain accurate, resilient and well maintained across websites and apps.

Technical issues are triaged methodically, communicated clearly and resolved with the right teams.

New capabilities are delivered with clear requirements, robust testing, appropriate governance and effective handover.

Stakeholders trust the data and understand how marketing technology supports acquisition, sales and customer experience.

Agency and partner activity is prioritised against measurable business value.

You identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve implementation quality.

What you need to know

Essential

Practical experience in digital marketing, advertising operations, marketing technology, analytics implementation or a related discipline.

Working knowledge of marketing tags, analytics and ad platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, GA4 and CM360.

Awareness of server-side tracking, privacy requirements, UK GDPR, the DMA and changes affecting third-party cookies.

Ability to analyse technical problems, use evidence to reach a conclusion and explain findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience coordinating delivery across multiple internal teams, agencies and technology partners.

A proactive, curious and organised approach, with strong attention to detail.

Desirable

Experience with JavaScript, SQL or any other coding languages.

Knowledge of cloud platforms and data services, particularly Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.

Experience with product feeds, catalogue data or API-led data activation.

Familiarity with server-side tag management, conversion APIs or privacy-enhancing measurement approaches.

Experience building lightweight tools, automations, dashboards or web applications.

Hands-on experience in at least one paid media channel, such as paid search, paid social, display or affiliates.

Confidence working with APIs or platform integrations, including configuration, testing and issue diagnosis.

Understanding of campaign tracking, attribution, data layers, consent and the flow of data between digital properties and media platforms.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Marketing Technology, Tag Management, Analytics, Tracking, and Ad Operations. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
