As a National Sales Professional (m/f/*) – Industrial Packaging, Paper & Print within 3M’s Industrial Specialties Division, you will have the opportunity to apply your curiosity, commercial expertise, and technical mindset while collaborating with innovative and diverse teams around the world.

Here, You Will Make an Impact By

• Establishing territory sales objectives and applying effective strategies and tactics to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities through effective time, territory, and account management.
• Generating new business leads and increasing account penetration through regular engagement with end users.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels of the purchasing process.
• Collaborating with marketing and application engineering teams to identify and develop customer and business growth opportunities.
• Presenting new application opportunities, products, and technologies to end users.
• Using technical equipment to conduct product trials at customer sites in support of the sales process.
• Using Salesforce.com, market analysis, customer insights, reports, and business updates to track opportunities and support short- and long-term growth plans.

Your Skills and Expertise

To help you succeed in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Proven sales experience in related industries or sectors.
• Ability to manage your sales territory with periodic supervision and seek or receive support when situations require additional experience, specialized knowledge, or broader business input
• Strong selling skills and a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales forecasts.
• Experience collaborating with distribution partners to support channel needs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Additional Qualifications That Could Help You Succeed Even Further

• Experience using CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com.
• Strong business and sales acumen.
• Strong selling skills in both face-to-face and remote customer interactions.
• Technical and/or mechanical understanding.
• Ability to use financial data to identify opportunities and drive sales performance.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
