AI in this role
The AM Tools Product team builds and launches the products AMs use every day: seller insights, portfolio prioritisation, escalation tracking, reporting and AI assistants. We work with Amazon's global seller services, tech and AI teams to bring the right capabilities to Australian AMs, and we build our own where local needs call for it. As AI becomes central to how AMs work, we are building AI-powered tools that automate routine work, surface the next best action for each seller, and let one AM support more sellers with more impact.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own AM tools end to end, from discovery through launch, adoption and measured impact. The ideal candidate knows how AMs actually spend their day, spots where time is lost, studies working models to find patterns, and designs tools that remove that friction. They earn trust with AMs and their leaders, drive adoption through training, enablement and change management, and are accountable for whether a tool changes how the team works and what sellers achieve. They work across engineering, data science, BI, UX, and AM and operations leadership in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
You will own a product area end to end and see its impact directly in how AMs work and how sellers grow. You will build hands-on experience with GenAI and agentic products, from model evaluation to responsible AI practices, alongside data scientists and ML engineers. You will work with senior leaders in AU 3P and with global seller services and AI teams, which builds your influence and network across Amazon. Amazon also supports your development through product management training, mentoring from senior PMs, and room to take on a larger scope as the AM tools portfolio grows.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the AM tools strategy and roadmap across seller segments and the AM workflow, prioritising the investments that return the most AM time and seller growth.
- Build and launch AI-powered tools with partner teams, including GenAI assistants, automated seller insights and agentic workflows. Write clear requirements that balance technical feasibility, user needs, business impact and responsible AI standards.
- Drive adoption and change management after launch: run pilots and staged rollouts, design training and champion programs, retire redundant tools, and align AM leadership on new ways of working.
- Measure the impact of every tool through adoption, AM time saved, seller coverage and seller success, and report results through regular business reviews.
- Partner with global AM tooling, seller services and AI teams to reuse existing solutions, shape their roadmaps for Australian needs, and manage leadership communication on solution reviews and impact.
A day in the life
About a third of your time goes to collaboration: shadowing AMs, running discovery sessions, and working through requirements and trade-offs with partner teams. Around a quarter is deep focus, where you write PRFAQs and requirements, analyse adoption and productivity data, and plan launches. Another quarter goes to meetings with AM leaders and global partner teams: roadmap reviews, launch readiness and business reviews. You spend the rest in the field with users, running pilots, training sessions and feedback loops, and checking that each tool works in the AM's real day.

Our focus is on making AMs more effective through better tooling and AI-powered automation, so that every Australian seller gets the hands-on support they need to grow their business on Amazon.

Questions you could be asked
- How do you decide when an AI agent can act on its own versus asking for approval first?
- How do you decide that one model's output is better than another's for a given task?
- How do you think about the risk of an AI system in this kind of role failing silently?
- Describe a typical day in a role like this one: which parts run through AI directly?
- If you removed AI from this role, what would be left, and how do you decide what still needs a human?
Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents, AI Evaluation, and AI Safety. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
- Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
