Senior Art Director (Maternity Cover)

About the Job

We are looking for an experience Art Director/ Concept Designer to join our in-house creative team for a nine-month maternity cover to help bring the Saxo brand to life across markets and channels.

In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Design & Production. As an Art Director, you will translate marketing briefs and strategic direction into distinctive creative concepts and high-quality design. You will work closely with designers, video editors, copywriters, and marketing stakeholders at HQ and in our local offices, taking ideas from initial concept through to final execution.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong conceptual thinking with hands-on design skills, an agency mindset, and the ability to deliver compelling creative work in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts and visual territories for brand campaigns, product marketing, and client communications
• Translate briefs into clear ideas, mood boards, storyboards, and design proposals that support brand and business objectives
• Create and adapt high-quality designs across digital, social media, print, and out-of-home formats
• Provide art direction for photography and video productions, working closely with colleagues and external production partners
• Shape, define, and evolve Saxo’s Corporate Visual Identity (CVI) together with the Head of Design & Production, translating it into clear design principles and consistent brand expression across markets and channels
• Present creative work, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with marketing and compliance stakeholders through the approval process
• Manage multiple briefs and deadlines, taking ownership of creative delivery from concept to production-ready artwork

Your Profile

• 7+ years of experience in art direction and concept design, ideally within a creative agency or in-house team
• A strong portfolio demonstrating original ideas, visual storytelling, and high-quality design across channels
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; experience with Figma is an advantage
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, branding, and the production requirements of digital and print formats
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across disciplines, and balance creative ambition with practical delivery
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; experience in financial services or other regulated industries is an advantage
