About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to be part of our Inventory Engineering Team, responsible for supplier integrations, inventory management, and booking reliability.

This high-impact role balances team leadership (75%) and hands-on contribution (25%), driving both technical execution and operational excellence while scaling a world-class engineering team.

We’ve been transforming how we acquire, manage, and distribute travel inventory, moving from fragmented supplier integrations to a unified, scalable platform. While we’ve made great progress, there’s still plenty to optimise.

Our platform powers supplier connectivity, data acquisition, distribution, and booking workflows, ensuring fresh, high-quality inventory with minimal latency. Built on C# .NET and AWS, it supports a fast-moving, high-traffic environment.

What you’ll be doing day to day

• Managing a team of IC Software Engineers up to Staff level and owning up to three domains.

• Empower teams to deliver high-quality software across the stack, from frontend to platform and data services.

• Drive delivery excellence over multiple release cycles; leverage modern delivery methodologies and team management techniques to help teams achieve their potential.

• Communicate the value of technical work to Product and Business stakeholders helping prioritise investments like refactors, rebuilds, and platform modernisation.

• Support organisational change, including team reorganisation, leadership transitions, and scaling challenges.

• Build, grow, and hire exceptional engineering talent, with a focus on speed, diversity, and quality.

• Handle performance and people processes with empathy and fairness.

• Coach, mentor, and guide career progression for engineers and emerging leaders helping people step into new roles and grow beyond senior levels!

• Foster a culture of self-awareness, adaptability, and continuous learning articulating and flexing your leadership style as needed.

• Own the team backlog, facilitate tech and product decisions and plan delivery with support from Architects, Designers and Product Managers.

You’ll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience

• Experience in engineering management roles, with a strong hands-on technical foundation.

• Proven experience managing teams of multiple engineers as well as leading managers or tech leads.

• Track record of delivering complex full-stack systems (web/mobile frontend, backend, data, platform).

• Skilled at balancing delivery, technical quality, and business impact able to make and communicate tough trade-offs.

• Experience leading through change from reorganisation to leadership transitions.

• Strong communicator able to express the “why” behind technical work in terms that stakeholders value.

• Deep understanding of modern software delivery practices from DORA metrics to team health tracking and tooling.

• Experienced in hiring and building teams quickly, with strong opinions on what makes a great engineering culture.

• Demonstrated ability to coach others with examples of helping people grow into new roles or management careers.

• Self-aware and reflective, able to articulate your leadership style and how it evolves across situations.

After a call with our Talent Acquisition Team, We will run a 3 stage interview process. Which will consist of:

Hiring Manager meet & greet - 30 Minutes
Behavioural & ways of working - 60 Minutes
System Design - 60 Minutes

Ways of working
Our full time hours are 37.5 per week, but we don't have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern that's right for you and the team.

The role will be working predominantly remotely, however at the relevant time we will create a collaborative space in Dublin for you to attend as a team.
