micro1 is engaging Senior Marine Cargo and Draft Surveyors to contribute expertise in support of a customer’s technical maritime project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. 3. Prepare clear, concise, and accurate marine survey reports, articulating findings and professional reasoning for each surveyor’s call.
  4. Evaluate compliance with international marine survey standards and best practices in all deliverables.
  5. Provide actionable feedback to refine and improve AI data labeling and maritime decision-making processes.
  6. Collaborate asynchronously through written and verbal communication channels, delivering insights and expertise to the project team.
  7. Reference and apply guidelines from organizations such as NAMS, SAMS, or IIMS where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. At least 7 years of professional experience conducting marine cargo and draft surveys, with a strong track record of independent or consultancy assignments.
  2. Certification from a recognized maritime academy or valid Certificate of Competency (CoC).
  3. Proficiency in container & cargo condition surveys, marine measurement protocols, and report writing to international standards.
  4. Demonstrated ability to interpret imagery and documentation remotely, confidently making surveyor’s calls with well-supported reasoning.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and detail in reporting and collaboration.
  6. Membership or accreditation with NAMS, SAMS, or IIMS is highly desirable.
  7. Experience working in a remote, digital-first environment and engaging with cross-functional project teams.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: AI Data Labeling, Marine Survey, Cargo Inspection, Draft Survey, and Domain Expertise. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
