Job Description Summary:

At The Coca‑Cola Company, we deliver moments of refreshment and connection to people everywhere—powered by one of the world’s most beloved brands and a portfolio that continues to expand with innovation and purpose. In Norway and Iceland, our marketing teams are shaping the future of consumer engagement through data‑driven storytelling and meaningful brand experiences that meet people where they are.

As Senior Marketing Manager, Media & Connections, you will be instrumental in translating Coca‑Cola’s brand ambitions into dynamic, fully integrated media strategies for Norway and Iceland. Operating within the regional Marketing team and partnering closely with cross‑functional experts, creative teams, and our bottling partner, this role ensures that every media plan reflects a deep understanding of our consumers, local market context, and cultural dynamics. Your expertise will enable impactful, insight‑based connections that strengthen relevance, engagement, and performance across paid, owned, earned, and shared channels.

This role matters because consumer behavior is evolving rapidly—shaped by digital platforms, technology, and sustainability expectations. As Coca‑Cola continues to advance its human‑centered and data‑enabled marketing model, your leadership in media excellence and connections strategy will help deliver superior outcomes across the full funnel, ensuring each campaign contributes to growth, resonance, and brand leadership in the region.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Develop annual and campaign‑specific media activation plans in partnership with brand teams, agencies, and commercial colleagues.
  • Evaluate consumer and shopper media opportunities in Norway and Iceland, incorporating local culture, digital ecosystem trends, and competitive insights.
  • Partner with media agencies on planning and activation across TV, audio, retail, out‑of‑home, social, search, and digital platforms.
  • Ensure efficient media buying and strong value through effective partnerships and rigorous measurement against KPIs, CPMs, CPTs, and digital benchmarks.
  • Monitor and report media investments versus planned budgets and ensure compliance with Coca‑Cola’s governance frameworks and Responsible Marketing standards.
  • Partner with Brand and Creative teams to integrate connections strategy within campaign briefs, assets, and activation plans that extend across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels.
  • Work with social, influencer, and shopper teams to synchronize content calendars and real‑time amplification with IMX partners.
  • Track and analyze media performance using marketing mix modeling, brand lift studies, platform analytics, and competitive benchmarking tools.
  • Deliver post‑campaign reviews and actionable insights to enhance media effectiveness and future planning.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Revenue Growth Management, Insights, Shopper, and bottler teams to ensure media plans drive business outcomes and align with local priorities.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional alignment with Legal, PR, and Social when market‑specific or reputational issues arise.
  • Maintain a deep and current understanding of Norway‑Iceland’s media landscape, digital innovations, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to test and scale new media formats, data partnerships, and smarter targeting approaches.
  • Contribute to enhancing overall media capability within the Norway‑Iceland Marketing team through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Digital, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in media planning, buying, or connections management within FMCG or agency environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Norway‑Iceland media ecosystem, including programmatic, digital, social, influencer, and omnichannel advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage agency relationships and optimize significant media budgets effectively.
  • Analytical fluency with experience leveraging data to interpret performance outcomes and guide investment decisions.
  • Proven experience collaborating across brand, creative, shopper, and commercial partners to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills, with an inclusive approach to building alignment.
  • Strong ability to manage complex projects simultaneously within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Autonomous working style balanced with collaborative team engagement; able to operate effectively in a matrix setup.
  • Digital and AI familiarity, including emerging analytics tools and cross‑platform measurement technologies.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Media Planning, Brand Marketing, and Campaign Management. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
