The Senior Project Manager manages the end-to end execution of complex projects from initiation through design to delivery to successful implementation to achieve the business outcomes agreed, within the agreed time, cost and quality parameters.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management and leadership of the project and the project team,

• Provide effective leadership and management controls.

• Design the project structure and organisation appropriate to stage. Set appropriate delivery methodologies.

• Identify and set appropriate Project Controls.

• Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints

• Support effective governance and decision making..

• Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned.

• Ensure appropriate Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place and monitor longer term delivery of benefits against the business case.

• Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate. Identify and work with related projects to manage interdependencies.

• Develop and track within budget

• Identify skill requirements; and deploy and develop resources.

• May manage a medium sized team.

• Ensure effective change management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.

• Promote effective individual and team performance.

• Cascade vision and translate into delivery objectives for the team.

• Identify and manage stakeholder relationships and need for senior level support.

• Manage internal and external relationships as appropriate.

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage project teams.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage expectations and communicate complex information effectively.

• Experience of working in a structured project management environment, and an understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
