Are you passionate about software development, performance optimization, and image processing technologies? We are looking for a Software Development Intern to join our Intel IPP team and help shape highly optimized libraries used by developers worldwide.
What You'll Do
As a Software Development Intern, you will contribute to the development, validation, and performance optimization of image processing, signal processing, and data compression algorithms across current and next-generation Intel architectures. Your work will help enable faster, more efficient applications for customers and open-source communities alike.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and optimize classic and modern image, signal processing, and data compression algorithms.
- Validate software functionality, performance, and quality across Intel platforms.
- Work with engineers to integrate optimized solutions into customer applications.
- Contribute improvements to third-party and open-source libraries.
- Learn about Intel processor architectures and leverage hardware-specific features to maximize application performance.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Programming experience in C.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interest in software optimization, algorithms, and computer architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C++ and/or Assembly programming.
- Familiarity with image processing, signal processing, or data compression concepts.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and performance optimization techniques.
- Interest in low-level software development and hardware-aware programming.

The minimum Annual Salary for this job which could be performed in Germany is: 28 920,00 € The job posting reflects the minimum base compensation for this role. Our standard internship rates are aligned with the specific job role and degree level.
