As a Solutions Architect Apprentice, you'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You'll develop your skills in architectural design and systems integration, working with cutting-edge technologies to streamline deployments and drive adaptability across IT landscapes. You'll act as a catalyst for innovation - optimising workflows, enhancing security, and fostering a culture of efficiency.
A day in the life can involve:
- Collaborating with teams across the business
- Being the internal voice of the customer, sharing their needs to inform technical roadmaps
- Participating in the creation and sharing of best practices
- Building technical relationships with customers and operating as their trusted advisor
- Supporting and leading projects, with the opportunity to innovate and simplify from day one
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds who are adaptable, with a passion for problem-solving and a strong desire to learn and grow. You'll be able to break complex problems down into manageable, actionable components, using critical-thinking skills to research, analyse, and evaluate options and craft innovative, tailored solutions. Exceptional communication and collaboration are essential - you'll need to explain technical concepts to a range of stakeholders clearly and compellingly, and work effectively alongside cross-functional experts to deliver comprehensive IT solutions. Strong time-management and organisational skills are a must: you'll prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work independently with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
Here at Amazon, it's in our nature to learn and be curious. Within this apprenticeship, you'll learn by doing, putting newfound knowledge into practice every day. Our first-class coaching, tailored development opportunities, and challenging, rewarding work will empower you to reach new heights. If you're a curious, ambitious learner eager to grow, this is your chance to unlock your full potential and build the future you envision.
You'll gain a wide range of valuable experiences and skills while working towards the BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (IT Consultancy Pathway) degree. As a working student, your focus during your 20% off-the-job time is to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours that lead to successful graduation. You'll be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies.
Please note: as part of your off-the-job learning, you may be required to travel to a training centre, and this location may differ from your primary work base. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel as part of the programme.
You'll build your skills over a 42-month period, starting in September, developing both personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship combines classroom and virtual training to cover the knowledge, on-the-job training at your Amazon base location, online learning, and mentoring from our experienced team members.
You'll join a diverse and passionate team, working alongside customers, business users, suppliers, product owners, software developers, testers and senior leaders.
