Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.

As Target continues to evolve its digital experience, the AskTarget Experience team is focused on creating simpler, more intuitive, and connected ways for guests to engage with Target across our digital channels.

The team brings together deep digital product thinking, guest-centered design, and emerging technologies to solve meaningful guest problems and create seamless experiences across the shopping journey. This includes understanding guest behaviors and needs, identifying friction and opportunities across digital touchpoints, and developing scalable experiences that improve how guests discover, shop, and accomplish their goals.

The team leverages AI and agentic capabilities to create more intuitive, connected, and personalized digital guest experiences, continuously adapting and evolving how these technologies are applied to solve meaningful guest problems and unlock new opportunities. Success requires a strong foundation in digital product management, customer experience, experimentation, and cross-functional delivery, combined with curiosity and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies.

The team partners closely with UX, Engineering, Data Science, Personalization, enterprise platform teams, and business partners to translate guest needs and emerging capabilities into meaningful, high-quality digital experiences at scale.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product.  You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and shape Target’s on-platform agentic experience, defining how AI and agentic capabilities can solve meaningful guest problems and create simpler, more connected experiences across our digital channels.
  • Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for this emerging space, establishing where Target should invest and how the experience should evolve over time.
  • Identify and prioritize the highest-value guest problems and use cases, leveraging guest research, behavioral insights, experimentation, and business context to inform product decisions.
  • Design for the broader Target ecosystem, connecting experiences, context, data, and capabilities across the guest journey to help guests more seamlessly accomplish their goals.
  • Lead the development and delivery of agentic experiences in partnership with UX, Engineering, Data Science, Personalization, platform teams, and business partners, aligning dependencies and priorities across a complex cross-functional landscape.
  • Establish the foundational capabilities, product principles, and experience patterns needed to responsibly scale agentic experiences across Target’s digital ecosystem.
  • Balance near-term learning and experimentation with long-term platform and capability investments, helping define how agentic technology evolves from emerging use cases into an enduring part of Target’s digital experience.

You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

Adapt your resume

  • List these exact terms on your resume: Product Management, Digital Ecommerce, Customer Experience, and Experimentation. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
  • Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
  • Show where AI is part of your daily process, not a one-off project. This role expects it to be a running habit.
