AI in this role
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
Position Summary
Anduril's real estate portfolio covers 10M sq ft of R&D labs, manufacturing hubs, and offices worldwide. The Growth Strategy Associate will help forecast how much space the company needs and where, and build the data tools the team uses to do it.
You'll join the Strategic Real Estate planning team, reporting to the Director of Strategic Real Estate and working closely with the Portfolio Planning & Strategy Lead. Most of your time will go to building and running the models that turn headcount and program plans into demand and supply forecasts. You'll also track how well we use our existing sites and help prepare the analysis that goes to division leaders and the C-suite.
We're looking for someone with a data science or analytics background who wants to apply it to real estate and corporate planning. Prior real estate experience is helpful but not required. Real experience using LLMs in your work is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the models behind our quarterly portfolio forecast. This includes pulling in headcount and program plans from Finance, Corporate Operations, and the business divisions, reconciling them where they conflict, and producing a 5–10 year outlook by division, workforce type, and region.
- Track plan vs. actual from one forecast version to the next and explain the changes.
- Forecast office, R&D, and production space demand against current and committed supply, and size the gaps by market and year.
- Model scenarios such as program wins and losses, M&A, and relocations.
- Build and maintain utilization metrics (SF per head, seat ratios, cost per seat, production space relative to output) and dig into sites that look off.
- Work with Talent and People teams on hiring velocity, workforce mix, and in-office patterns, and use that work to inform location strategy and site timing.
- Extend our planning data pipeline in Palantir Foundry using Python and SQL, with version-controlled datasets and automated validation.
- Build LLM-based tools and agents to automate data extraction, reconciliation, analysis, and slide production, and help the rest of the team use them.
- Prepare slides and memos for leadership reviews, and present your own work to division leaders.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or Finance. Bachelor's degree in a non-quantitative field is acceptable, so long as you can demonstrate technical ability.
- 2–4 years of experience in data science, analytics, consulting, FP&A, capacity planning, or real estate.
- Regular use of LLMs in your work, including building with an API, agent framework, or automated workflow.
- Interest in data science shown through work or personal projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for security clearance preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake, or dbt.
- Background in forecasting methods (time series, Monte Carlo, sensitivity analysis).
- Exposure to real estate, workforce planning, or manufacturing operations.
- Comfort building financial models in Excel.
- Familiarity with Git and code review.

- Walk me through how you've used Databricks in your day-to-day work.
Adapt your resume
