Manage full-cycle technical recruiting and experiment with internal AI tools for hiring processes at Read AI.
About Read AI:
At Read AI we're redefining how teams collaborate by bringing intelligence to every conversation. Our platform supercharges productivity across meetings, messages, and email, so work gets done faster, smarter, and with better focus. We integrate seamlessly with tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack, and more, helping teams stay aligned and move forward, whether they're in the same room or across time zones.
Backed by $81 million in funding from Smash Capital, Madrona, and Goodwater Capital, Read AI is growing. If you're excited to shape the future of AI-powered collaboration and want to make an impact at a product-focused startup, we'd love to meet you.
The Role:
We're looking for a Talent Partner to own recruiting for one of our core partner groups: either Product & Design or Engineering. You'll run every early-career through senior individual contributor search, plus Engineering Manager searches, end to end, from intake and sourcing through interview loops and offer close.
Today our Head of Talent covers all Product, Design, and Engineering hiring. You'll take over the IC and Manager searches for your group, typically 6+ open reqs at a time. Your job is to add capacity and raise the bar on how we hire: faster loops, sharper calibration, and a candidate experience people talk about.
You’ll have a direct impact on our hiring culture by working with hiring managers and interviewers every day, helping your teammates do their best work. We have plenty of room to improve the process, including experimenting with the AI tools we build and use every day.
What You'll Do:
Own full-cycle recruiting
Run 6+ searches at a time, from early-career to senior IC and to Manager & Director roles, from intake to signed offer
Lead intakes that turn vague needs into written hiring briefs, scorecards, and interview plans
Screen candidates with enough technical and functional fluency to calibrate quickly with hiring managers
Manage offers and closes, understanding what each candidate needs to say yes
Build pipeline through sourcing
Proactively source passive talent through LinkedIn, GitHub, Dribbble, communities, and referrals
Write personalized outreach that gets responses
Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and future roles
Run excellent interview loops
Coordinate and schedule interviews across busy panels quickly and accurately
Prepare interviewers and candidates so every conversation is useful
Run debriefs that lead to clear, well-calibrated decisions
Partner and report
Help hiring manager understand on market, talent availability, and process
Own recruiting operations for your searches in Ashby: interview plans, stages, scorecards, and data hygiene
Use ATS reporting to share pipeline health, conversion, and forecasts, and flag at-risk reqs early
Make the team better
Review teammates' slates and sourcing strategies and share what works
Support Staff+ and leadership searches with sourcing when needed
Experiment with AI tools, agents, and automation to speed up sourcing, prep, and coordination
What We're Looking For:
3–5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with significant time hiring for technical roles (Engineering, Product, and/or Design)
Experience owning senior IC searches and, ideally, first-line manager searches
Proven sourcing skills: you can build a slate from scratch and write outreach people answer
Comfort partnering directly with hiring managers, including pushing back with data when needed
Strong recruiting operations expertise and hands-on knowledge of a modern ATS, Ashby is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills; you keep 6+ searches and complex loops moving without dropping details
Clear, warm communication with candidates at every stage
A track record of closing candidates in competitive markets
Curiosity about AI and how it can change recruiting work
Nice to Have:
Experience setting up or improving ATS workflows, automations, or dashboards (e.g., Ashby interview plans, custom reports)
Experience building AI agents, prompts, or AI-assisted workflows into your recruiting process
Startup or high-growth company recruiting experience
Experience recruiting in the Seattle tech market
Why This Role Matters:
The people we hire into Product, Design, and Engineering build the product our customers rely on every day. Every hire on those teams changes how fast we ship and how good the product gets. This role makes sure those hires happen quickly, with high quality, and through an experience that reflects how we want to work.
You'll own a real search portfolio, not just a set of tasks, and shape who joins the teams building the future of AI-powered collaboration.
Why Read AI?
Mission you can see: You'll recruit for a product people use every day to work smarter.
AI-native team: We use AI in our own recruiting and encourage you to experiment and build.

Adapt your resume
- List these exact terms on your resume: AI agents, Technical Recruiting, Full Lifecycle Recruiting, Sourcing, and Candidate Experience. An applicant tracking system matches the wording, not the idea.
- Attach one line of real, concrete experience to at least one of them. A tool named with nothing behind it rarely survives a human read.
